News Round Up 2016

Not sure if anyone on this board knows the answer, but does Disneyworld hire Summer help? I'm a teacher from NY who wants to work at Disney when I retire in 7 years but I wish I could work there summers until then.

Seasonal positions are a thing, but they are becoming harder to get as the College Program (who are also considered temporary/seasonal) expands.
I'm not sure of the exact qualifications, but you must work so many hours every x months to stay employed.

Contacting Casting will be your best bet with getting the appropriate information.

Dear Ryan,
My knowledge of DIsney grows everyday because of this thread. Thank you so much and please never change the thread, it is great the way it is. I rarely post, but when I do, I feel welcome. :)

Finally had a chance to see Moana today. As a big fan of Disney animation, I have to say: what a treat this film is. It is absolutely stunning (the water physics are unbelievable) and the whole cinematography and production design are simply beautiful. The music (both original songs and score) are fantastic in my personal opinion. It just feels very 90's Disney, with a lot of Little Mermaid and Hercules infused to the story (of course, given the directors). Just really great film overall.

I'm really pleased with what Disney animation has been releasing. Tangled, Wreck-it-Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and now Moana are all big hits in my book. Can't wait to see what's next for the studio.

So... in spite of continued questioning and challenges about all the add-on hard ticket events, we've now turned ride shut downs for overlays into a hard ticket event? Good grief. Whats the plan? To shut a ride down each year to keep this inflow coming?

Disney: "Listen guys. I know a lot of you really liked this ride, and a lot of you are really upset it will be changing. We get it. So go on...ride once more, for old times sake...for $95."

Iger needs to add to his retirement fund.
