I'm trying not to get too excited while we wait...

I actually considered forging DW's signature on the initial paperwork, knowing she'd drive me NUTS over it. I regretted not doing that for about 31.5 days.:D

(YES, I know that's illegal, immoral, unethical, makes me a horrible person, and violates this forum guideline # 128.6B-section II or something. I did not do it. Everybody relax!)

That's a low price for BWV these days. Would have been sweet, though! Keep trying!
Yes that'd be awful if you forged a spouses signature :rolleyes1 who would even think of doing something like that...

Oops... 2018 shouldn't be in there! Testing my update with your info:

Better. Thanks for using my new fancy ROFR string creation device. I believe you're the first official customer, so you win an automatic ROFR waiver! (AKV is almost never bought back so you'll be fine. :D )

There seems to be no end to the amount of logic it takes to form the correct string, and your result exposed yet another thing I didn't account for! The 2018 points shouldn't be in that string because they're not accessible until at least January 2017. I've added some additional code so that new strings will contain only the correct years. Any submissions with a UY after the current calendar month will automatically omit the 2018 field. And, conversely, submissions with a UY prior to the current calendar month will omit the 2014 field.

Just got the good news! Woo Hoo!! Thank you Pangyal. Your efforts are very helpful for the purchase process. Now hoping for a speedy closing so I can use the '14 points expiring September 1.

This is awesome! Congrats and welcome home!!! I noticed your thank you to Pangyal... Are there other things we can do to help our contract pass ROFR?

I need your correct total with all MFs and closing costs, please :stitch2:!
Julluvsdisney - $145-$7853 50 points- Polynesian-Aug- 40/16, 50/17 sent 5/6- buyer pays closing cost and $127 for part of 2016 points.

First time buyer... what is the likely hood this will pass? I was told Disney is buying everything under 100 points.

I've noticed an influx of SSR listings lately In anyone's opinion will this influence Disney to exercise ROFR more? Guess I'm just really nervous about the bid we placed. Our broker said $83 pp for SSR should pass but it makes me nervous.

We just put in for SSR for $87 and our broker thought we would be fine. He said most all that were taken back were under $85 with 2015 points available. Ours also has the seller paying most of the closing costs bringing the per point cost down to $84.50. I have always heard that Disney really likes when the buyer pays closing costs because that adds $ to the purchase price. It's all pretty unpredictable.

Best of luck with ROFR.

No way to know until you hear. They do seem to be buying back more SSR lately, but it means nothing regarding any specific contract.

Hang in there!

We went through the Timeshare Store. Our broker really didn't give any insight or suggestions. Each question I asked was replied with "you can" and "yea". We didn't even know closing and MF could be negotiated so we're paying full for both.

They can be negotiated but it makes no difference HOW you reach the bottom line number. It's like when I sold my house a few years ago. The buyer insisted that I cover $5000 of the closing costs, yet offered more than $10K over the other offer I was considering. I agreed, of course. It's the age old question of "which side of the bucket do I take water from?".

True. Good way of looking at it, Scubacat. My DH & I purchased VWL for $78./pt (160 pts), but when you factor in the closing costs and fees our price is more like $90.60/pt. Awesome price as far as we're concerned. So for everyone looking at just the price per point, don't forget to look at what else the buyer has factored into their costs.

Yes, everything is negotiable but it is fairly typical that buyers pay closing and MFs on available current year's points.
