DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Really? Never seen that before? Have we been reading a different thread??
It's very subtle. I may have missed the entendres...
And, I have to click on a link? Balderdash. What happened to just posting a picture? Get off my lawn. :lmao:
Top notch Disdad effort there Sir. Well played.
Sure, I had dropped it several times and it was about 4 years old and the battery had slowly not wanting to keep its charge long, but other than that, there were no signs.
I wouldn't beat yourself up mate. Sometimes these things are a bolt out of nowhere. You can't blame yourself.

Morning from the early part of the week.

Morning all.

Back to the grind. In the office today, travel to our Nation's capital tomorrow, back Wednesday, office Thursday and Friday, Friday night back to the USA for a basketball tournament. Glad I had that vacation.

Have a good one all.

Afternoon boys!

Like @declansdad, it's back to work today. After a GREAT week at the World, coming into the office was not fun, not fun at all. Sitting here trying to figure out if I can squeeze in one more trip by the end of the year to maximize my AP. That thing is burning a hole in my pocket.

Have a great week!

Do it.
Welcome back Mal, it was fun watching on FB.

Happy Monday. It snowed here today. Not enough to call out school, but enough to rain out the first HS tennis match of the year. On that, their coach finally released lineup and youngest dd is 4th best on the HS varsity tennis team. Oldest is close to bottom, but she is the swimmer.

And in even better news, magic bands arrived today. 2 more weeks seems like forever away.

New phone should arrive tomorrow. The old one doesn't even work when plugged in.

Always hate the extra work and busy schedule prior to and after the vacation.

We have not done the APs, but those dvc points make sure we go once or twice a year, afford the trip or not. Disney math seems to be calculated a bit differently.

Dang, you guys are making me feel left out. Darcy and Mal last week, Mike down there now, Norm in a couple weeks. I suppose Dan will have a cheeky trip to Paris again soon. I think pkondz is off to Disneyland soon too. I'm happy for you guys, but just a tad jealous all the same. Oh well, one day my time will come again, I just need all this grown up stuff like work, finances, responsibility to go away!

Afternoon gents,

Stay safe Northern dads, it looks like a big one headed your way. Hope you have enough bread, milk and adult beverages to get you through it. We had the front come down last night and it caused some serious damage north of us. Fallen trees can put some hurt on cars and houses.

The kid called me the other day. They took a break from their camp in the boonies and went out to a restaurant in civilization. They had wifi so I got to chat with her a minute and she posted a couple of pictures on her FB and Instagram accounts.

They got to release a bunch of new leatherback turtle hatchlings. Needless to say she was psyched. Oh, and the weather is perfect in Nicaragua right now.

Sorry to say, welcome back guys. From what I saw it looks like everyone had a great time.

Bam! Tick, tick, tick tick tick.

Congrats on the UK win. Florida has one problem, they can't beat Vandy.

Started posting some pictures from the trip.

Looking good, keep them coming.

Dang, you guys are making me feel left out.

Same here. Nothing going on until January.

Happy Tuesday. Both dds home sick with strep. Well, one has strep and both are sick, so the dr just treated both of them for the same thing. They had a nice, relaxing day at home and I bought them some Easter candy to make things better. Made it a few hours at work and now back at home. It is way too cold for March.

See, that's the thing. We just don't worry about that grown up stuff and just blow money on Disney vacations.

Being grown up sucks. Keep the faith brother! We'll all kip over when you own in Golden Oaks....

I was thinking if you all have that cash for Victoria and Albert's, then you were going to get me a place at Golden Oak. I'm ok in the servant's quarters. :lmao:

.

She sure does seem happy.

Afternoon from DaWorld! Hope all are doing well - prayers and congrats to those that need them. Northern Dads stay safe with that weather

The weather looks a lot better there than here. Have a great trip.

That's a great photo mate. Good luck to her.
I'm ok in the servant's quarters
So it's like a reverse Batman thing? I thought the Brits were supposed to be the butlers?
I bought them some Easter candy to make things better
Reece's? All the best to the young 'uns.
Afternoon from DaWorld! Hope all are doing well
Nice one Mike, that acorn didn't fall far from the tree, did it? Enjoy your time down there.

As others have said all the best to the Northern guys from this side of the pond.

Hope everyone is staying safe out there, especially those in the path of the storm. Luckily for my hometown the cold of the Nor'easter won't have too much affect, at least not snow accumulation. It's going to be messy, a few cm of snow then freezing rain then 10-15 mm (half inch) rain, so luckily temperatures above freezing. As long as no flooding with snow melt, should be OK.

Weird works for me, try this

<iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s4.photobucket.com/user/declansdad/embed/slideshow/WDW 2017/March 5 - Day 1"></iframe>

I will add more to that album shortly; it is from our first day.
Works now for me. Thanks for the link. I like your "artistic" shots like the bakery sign and carousel horses. I should try doing more like this, instead of "here kids, stand in front of the castle".

Too bad to hear they are sick, hopefully they feel better soon. But probably not all that surprising considering the wild swings in temperature you guys have had lately.

See, that's the thing. We just don't worry about that grown up stuff and just blow money on Disney vacations.
I just blow snow....

With 800+ DISDads you would think we could all chip in and get that Golden Oaks clubhouse done. In the meantime, I have no problem being butler to a Brit family. So if anyone is offering the job....

Thanks. DW and DS won't stand for pictures anymore so I have to get creative.

Happy to hear you guys are avoiding the storm. I was on the last flight out this morning before they started cancelling flights. DW just sent me a message saying a tree just came down in our backyard. There are storm warnings here in Ottawa as well so hopefully I will be able to get out tomorrow night.

Not complaining as we are at DaWorld but I think Darcy left the northern door open when he was here. Cold and windy in the 40's for final Wishes show for our family last night and freeze warning for overnight tonight - I swear Seven Seas lagoon has white caps this morning :rotfl:Prayers for those up north hit by the storms and its in the 20's back home so I think we will survive her.

Alright northern dads, it's time to shut the door. It was 24 degrees this morning with windchill in the teens. For coastal VA in March, that is COLD. Time for spring!

Sorry to say, welcome back guys. From what I saw it looks like everyone had a great time.

Thanks. Sadly, the fun must end at some point.

Nice pic. Enjoy your time there. It goes by way to quickly.

Prayers for the girls that they recover quickly and you and the DW stay free of it.

We were fairly unscathed. Got more warm air mixed in with the storm than they expected, so we had some ice, some downed wires and trees, and that's about it. Now we can get on with spring.

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.

Have a good afternoon. That is all.
