Texas: Buy a $100 Disney Gift Card, get a $15 H-E-B gift card coupon

I called a few HEBs and none of them knew of the Catalinas. I went ahead and purchased a $100 gc this morning anyway since we leave in a week and did not receive the $15 off coupon.

I am in the Round Rock Tx area and went this AM and got the deal. I did have to tell the cashier that my coupon was printing, he look shocked and gave it to me I bought another $100 using the coupon so $85 on my disney visa, and again had to tell the cashier to give me the coupon.

Getting a little T'Od! The target special was for cities around SA and now the HEB special is for cities around SA. Super BOO... tried two other HEB's with no success. They don't even carry 100 dollar disney cards.

OK guys, just to make sure I have this straight before I head to HEB: I can buy a $100 Disney GC at HEB using my Disney Visa (so I still get the points), then it will give me a $15 off coupon. I can then immediately use that coupon to buy another $100 GF for only $85, receive another coupon, and continue the cycle for as long as I want/need. I can then use these gift cards to pay off my trip. Do I have this right?? I just want to make sure I can 1) use the gift cards to pay off my trip and 2) use my Disney Visa to buy the gift cards so I can get the points. Thanks for the help! --Katie

Well, I saw no sign that spoke of the deal either. I asked Guest Relations and of course, they thought I was crazy. I will just stick with Targets deal, but it's still upsetting that you have to drive 3 hours to get a deal like this.

That is strange that some stores would have the promotion and some not . . . As for Target, do you mean the 5% off with the Target card, or is there another deal?

Ok. So I couldn't find $100 gifts at any HEB. But I bought 4 $25 gc's and didn't get the coupon. I also asked the guest services and they all said the deal isn't here in town.

Soooo today I remembered my niece works at a local HEB and woke her up at 8 am which is extremely early for a 21 year old LOL

She called her manager and he said "deals like this are local to each HEB area. San Antonio won't have this deal again till closer to the holidays. And it's any combination of cards, as long as it totals $100."

So there's that :/

Now what Target deal are you talking about? The Red card 5% off?

It worked for me !!! I live in the Houston area (Friendswood). There was no sign about the promotion. I tried it with one first to see if it would work. Then, once it did, I bought 19 more . I'm on the phone paying with them right now . Thanks SO much, OP!!!! BTW-- I bought the ones that were loadable for $15 to $500. They did not have any that said $100. --Katie

Yes the Target is the 5% deal which does work.... but I don't want to pay 35 off of 700, I was 90 off 700.....and it's 7 cards with HEB not 14. target only has 50 and 25 dollar cards.

Looking at mapquest, Round Rock is north of Austin . . . I wonder if that's the closest HEB to San Antonio that's participating . . . And I wonder how to find that out . . .

Hey! I would go and try either tonight or tomorrow (ive heard it ends the 31st?) I live in Leander, just north of Austin and our HEB did it. There was not a sign at my store either and the checker girl didn't know about it either. Just look for the general Disney gift card that can be loaded with 15-500.00. Just a while ago I bought 600.00 in gift cards for 525.00 out of pocket, plus I have another 15.00 coupon to use toward another purchase at HEB So we saved 100.00..not too bad! If we could, we would buy more Good luck!

Just did it in Katy and it worked!

I bought a $100 Amazon gift card, got a $15 Catalina, and then used it for my groceries.

So far it has worked for me in Bellaire, Houston Buffalo Speedway, and two locations in Beaumont.
