Update: After the 4th end, US leads Scotland 2-1 but I don't like the US's chances. Should have scored 2 in the 4th and only got 1. Scotland has the hammer now. The women are up 5-1 on Scotland though.

I used to watch curling out of Hamilton Ontario when I was growing up. I enjoyed it. For you younger guys, there was a thing called an antennae we used to get reception. I could only get it if the cloud cover was right over Lake Erie though.

.... I tend to hit the PlayStation when TV has nothing to watch which really ticks me off considering my cable bill amount each month - that many channels and nothing to watch?

We got rid of the TV years ago and haven't really missed it. If we are traveling the kids will turn it on, or when I'm on the road I have the weather station on. Guess I can survive without it until the Bills make the playoffs so that will be the rest of my life.

...State University. I'm double government bureaucracy.

I don't even have the state pension to ease the pain though. I'm in the alternative plan.

Hope you are all having a great weekend. We spent Saturday and most of today watching high school basketball. DS and his JV team nailed dow a spot at the provincial championship next weekend with a nice win today. Pretty proud of him in his first season of high school ball.

Top O the Mornin Dads! What a lousy game. CJ is correct, Lady Gaga was the highlight. Also got to agree with CJ - Hey Cam, make an attempt to go after your fumble and you ask why folks don't treat you like Manning and Brady? The word is class - nice post game professionalism there.

Old key west!!!! We spent more then 15 years staying at this resort. One, two bedroom villas while B was growing up.Spent three Christmas Eve's into Christmas Day here. This picture was Christmas Day 2013.
Now that B is grown, we spend more time at Epcot, eating, wineing and eating. Lol Okw has excellent bus service. In well over 20 stays there, I think there were only a small handful of time we had to wait more than 10 min. For a bus. We always had good luck there.
This is the only dvc resort that we stayed in a studio. We stayed in a studio for about 4 days in May of 2015 then moved over to boardwalk. Studios here are spacious and plenty laundry areas to do laundry.
A lot of memories here. If your looking for quiet, this is the place to stay.

Thanks for all the great pics as they bring back memories for many of us I am sure. We have stayed at all referenced though many just once. Our home resort is AKV and have only stayed there once. Gret resort but logistics to get to parks compared to other DVC resorts as it a shortcoming and the resort layout requires a long a$$ walk from rooms to bus stop. With AK increasing it's offerings and scope I hoping that makes staying at AKV better. Here's some pics from one of our BWV stays to add on.

Caught most of the game last night. Two obserations:
1. With all the punts & field goals, I was calling for a long snapper to be MVP.
2. The Broncos owner's wife that accepted the Vince Lombardi trophy is an argument against HDTV. I don't know how much work she had done, but her plastic surgeon must have a whole fleet of yachts by now.

Beach club !!!! Tammy and I stayed in a one bedroom. Didn't think I would like it but we did. We had another great view.

Good, not great game. The Bronco's defense was amazing, Manning, not so much. You knew after they got the lead 90% of the plays were going to be runs. My reaction; Gaga did a nice job on the anthem, halftime was OK and after seeing Newton's post game press conference, he confirms he is still an a$$. The game was still in doubt, dive in for the ball that you fumbled, not jump away like a little girl. Although I know a lot of little girls would have tried and be tougher than you were.

When Cam pulled back from his fumble instead of diving on it, it because pretty clear that he didn't want to win.

When Cam pulled back from his fumble instead of diving on it, it because pretty clear that he didn't want to win.

I noticed through most of the game, he called the plays in the huddle while down on a knee. The rest of the offense would break and head to the line. He would stay down on his knee for about a second, almost like he was deciding if he wanted to and/or was physically able to stand up. So I'm sure he saw the ball on the ground, was going to go for it, and decided "nah...if I jump on that and we keep the ball, they're just going to pound me some more."

Thanks for the comments about DS everyone. Been a bit if a trying season for him as it been awhile since he had to come off the bench and yesterday he finally got the starting spot. We've told him all year that he is in his first year with the team and was getting as much or more playing time than the guy that was starting in front of him. Told him to keep working at it and it would pay off eventually.

If it is still around. The good news is that I can retire at 50 and hopefully live off that pension. Or, eat the squirrels and avocados at CJ's place.

We liked AKV, but yes, prefer BWV with the ease of walk to the parks and nearby excitement.

That was disturbing partly for the wierdness of the creation and partly because of how cheap the image they created was. It looked like something my kids would edit together.

Am I to understand that someone (presumably someone otherwise capable of stringing together three coherent sentences) got paid for completing that pice of "work", and then...

and then...

someone else (in a poisition of authority and financial responsibility none the less), decided to spend an additional $5,000.000.00 to have it aired?


Am I wrong or was the basic takeaway from that supposed to be the idea that combining three "good" things will result in the creation of a horrific thing.
