Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

At the FQ bus stop, they have two areas with benches, one right after the other, with one serving 2 parks and one serving the other 2 parks. I forget which one also does Disney Springs. With the signs, you can tell which park they are expecting a bus for.

If you do come over Christmas, say hello to us. We're there, mostly because I like the resort, and a one resort generally dedicated bus. I will say, sometimes the bus stop at the parks seems far. Only off times did I get to see a tour of POR before ending at FQ, or leaving for a park, was in the afternoon or mid-morning. (Well, except after a late night at MK) That one kinda annoyed me. I would hope with the crowds, no sharing at all with POR would be nice.

After originally booking at All-Star Movies, changing to Pop Century, then to Art of Animation Mermaid rooms I'm finally settled on Port Orleans French Quarter!

I'll be staying there with my dad from October 31-November 4! This will be our first stay at this resort and I've wanted to stay there for such a long time, but it never worked out. We're planning on doing a lot of relaxing, and I think this resort will be great for that.

They did just two weeks ago. No more Mickey heads on the bottles of shampoo and conditioner though. Not as cute but much easier to bring home as they are not as prone to popping open.
Really? They had the heads in early March. What a shame

Okay, I have an odd question. How horrible is the toilet paper? We have never stayed at FQ before. And yes, I am beside myself with excitement.:hyper: Anyway, last year, when we stayed at Coronado, the toilet paper was not good. Like sand paper not good. I'm just trying to figure out if I should pack my own. LOL.

The TP is not good. To call it sand paper would be to imply that it had a measurable thickness to it, so I won't even go that far.

Thank you. Now I know to pack my own. The benefit of driving. I don't have to try and figure out how to pack toilet paper in my luggage.

I hate to be the bearer of bad/sad news, but my family is at POFQ right now,and at least in building 3 the Blushing Orange scent and Mickey head toiletries are no more.

We have now had our toiletries restocked twice, and it is a brand called H2O+. The shampoo and conditioner are called Sea Marine, the body lotion and soaps are called Sea Salt. Sea Salt isn't bad, so far I'm iffy on the Sea Marine. Smells ok, but more earthy than sea to me.

Anyway, just wanted to give an update.

Thanks for the update. I'm so glad we went when we did. First on-site stay. I collected a few bottles because they were so cute. I'll be sure not to throw them away once I've used them

Does this resort ever get included in the discounts?

I don't think it typically does, because the purpose of a discount is to fill rooms, and POFQ is a popular resort (especially due to it's small size), and doesn't really need discounts to fill rooms.

This is what they use on the Disney Cruise Line. I really like them a lot and order them at home.

I just returned from Kidani Village and that's the same brand and scent we had. I loved it.

TP all over Disney is not good. No matter where you go it is sand paper.
