I am sure that current star wars shop will change, grow or another one will be built. Does cars land have only one merchandise location I don't think so.

I can see 11 new attractions, if you get creative with counting, at Hollywood Studios

2 new Star Wars attractions
1 new Jedi Academy theater
1 Radiator Spring Racer
2 Carsland attractions (Junkyard Jamboree, bumper cars)
1 Monster Inc Dark Ride
1 New Muppets attraction
3 Smaller/Kiddies Pixar rides

You can also think that something is going in the Captain Sparrow/One Man's Dream Space and the Animation Building.

sincethis is the rumor thread. rumor has it the the animation building is going to be broken up into several theaters so more people can draw and they may be adding some offices or backstage things as well. but then this is only a rumor and hasnt been confirmed by anyone who would really know. I just read it on a couple of sites.

Yes but being realistic is also good. DHS has had hundreds of rumors in the last two to three years

I don't see bumper cars happening and that isn't a carsland attraction. Everything I know has pointed to a good portion of toy story attractions and maybe some cars. Doubtful on other franchises. Star Wars is supposed to be the big seller in this project.i also don't think we get RSR from DCA either. I could definitely see a cars ride or two but I don't think it's RSR.

That's been a rumor for a while now and nobody really knows if it will happen or not.

As a newbie to the boards but not the parks I love a good rumor to discuss with family at dinner

We all know that it's not official until we hear it directly from Disney but where's the fun in waiting for that? I'm with the others- Bring on the rumors from the bus drivers, the park staff, the housekeepers... life's too short not to daydream a little about our favorite place.

The reason I said bumper cars is when looking at California Adventures Bug Life area it seemed the one to best fit into a Cars retheme. Course we could always just have a Planes themed Dumbo-like wheel and spoke since Disney can never have enough of those.

SO - I am not going to criticize the OP - because all they did was post a rumor on the DIS rumor board! So, no problem with that.

I suppose it is possible for a tour CM to know more than the average one, so let's take a look at what was reported. Disney is making it very obvious that SOMETHING is happening at DHS, and so if we can see it from the outside, the CMs can see it. I'm sure they have all kinds of rumors that swirl in the backstage area, and "11 new rides" probably not true - it certainly could be that many "attractions". (They could throw in 5 or 6 kiddie rides similar to "A Bug's Life", maybe 3 or 4 family/adult rides and say 2 or 3 new shows.)

What throws the rumor out the window for me is the "4 new countries in World Showcase". There's simply no way that's going to happen. This tells me this person has no real inside knowledge at all. Just spitballing things they've heard.
