Pop Century Room Renovations

Right you are @dansdad! @HopperFan is the owner of post 2 and they are at Pop right now providing updates.

If you can't find the information you're looking for in post 2 then the best we can offer here is to take the time and read back through the last pages of this thread. @HopperFan and I are doing our best to keep post 2 updated but we can't supply every single detail there.

A lot of information and pictures have been posted by HopperFan in the past few days. Please take the time to read back @jenpan and hopefully you will find the answers you're looking for.

No worries. Won’t be asking any more questions.

Thanks to everyone for all of the info. Just a shame to have sarcasm mixed in. Not going to rain on my Disney happiness!!!

No one was being sarcastic. They simply pointed out that the information you were asking about is in post #2 of the thread and is kept up-to-date by someone who is actually currently at Pop. And it indicates the date it was last updated (which was 48 hours before you posted). And the person who updates post #2 had literally posted pictures and information in the posts right above yours about 4 HOURS before you posted. Did you actually read *any* messages on the thread before asking the question? A few seconds of actually looking through a few posts would have given you all the answers you were looking for and would have prevented you getting upset about "sarcasm"(?). And if you want to see real sarcasm on a Disney message board, I can refer you to another site where you will truly see sarcasm.

Everyone is welcome to ask questions...that's what this thread is for. However, the information in post #2 can answer 95% of the questions people have. People just have to take a second to see if their answers are there.

Have a great trip! And be sure to post with any updates so Post #2 can have the most current information possible.

I plan to have a fantastic trip!!!!! Done!!!

I am packing up the car and heading to Epcot for the day, then the outlet stores, dinner at Freddy's then heading back to beach. After I look at pictures I'll see if I have anything else of importance and if I remember anything.

Couple things off the top of my head -

Buses have been AWESOME! We've hardly waited, never had to stand and feels like the old days. DHS has some weird drop off at times due to construction but coming home either regular stop or they combined us when we ate late.

Last night for the first time I plugged DS1 iPod into one of the USB ports to charge. OMG it completely wiped off his iPod. I will have to redo the whole thing at home and pretty sure it will be a complete do over it's been so long. If that doesn't settle it for me, unless it's just a battery pack, nothing with a brain will get plugged directly in. (I already used my plug adapter with my phone due to the slow speed.)

His last trip DS2 bought one of those Fuel Rods in the parks you can just plunk in machines and get a new charged one. One day changed it 3 times. It is totally worth it to not carry battery chargers like I do. We use phones for photos and MDE often (we roll those FP+) so our phones run low.

Any questions, ask, I might not know or remember, but I'll try.

That's awesome about the buses! I hope that the transportation stays efficient like that for as long as possible!

It sucks about your son's ipod! I hope you are able to get everything back on it when you get home!

I completely agree about the fuelrods! I have one that I use for my disney trips! I replace it at the airport her in PGH before we board and then as needed in the parks. Makes life easier with how quickly the wifi and MDE app drain the battery on my phone.

Hope your trip is going great!

Important question...which outlets are you going to? Vineland or International Drive? LOL

Thank you so much for all the pics and updates! I'm glad to hear the buses have been good. Some reviews have had me worried. We had great bus experiences last trip so I'm hoping for the same in March.
That's awful about your son's ipod, but thanks for letting us know. I'll just plan to use my regular chargers in the room. Hopefully you can get it redone without any major headaches!
Have a great day and happy shopping! I love outlet stores!

Sorry we're just going to miss you! Glad you've had a great trip and hope it continues at the beach!

Thanks for all the amazing information you provided during your trip! Greatly appreciated by all of us!!

So sorry to hear about your son's iPod. :( Hope you're able to get it fully restored. I had never considered that using just the USB ports could be a problem. Thanks to you I've now packed actual adapters in my luggage rather than just the USB cables.

I'm also leaving my portable battery behind and will buy a fuel rod in the park. Have heard great things about these!

I'm happy to pick up where you left off @HopperFan and hope to provide you with updates to post 2 during our trip. Would love it if they open the Preferred Pool View Rooms. If they do, you know I'll be letting everyone know!

Glad to hear the buses have been efficient for you Hopperfan! They ran well for my family when we were there last week - other than waiting a little longer to come back to the resort after park close (which is to be expected), we had no problems with the bus transportation. I had read some posts with horror stories and complaints, many if which decided to never again ride the buses and drive instead, so that just means less people riding the bus when I want to use them! Have a safe trip home, enjoy your last days at WDw for this trip!

Vineland, go at least once each trip. The days matter it seems so not holding my breath. Want to try Intl but hate going up in that area.

We bought this power bank from Walmart on Black Friday. I believe it was $5-$10 so we actually bought two! It takes forever to get it charged, but it stays charged for such a long time. We let the power bank charge for a whole night and then it's ready to use. I think we will be taking both with us on our trip (there will be four of us). MDE and taking pictures drains the heck out of my battery.

POP friends,

Can not press enough to work that FP+ system. We are rollers so our goal is to roll all day long and rarely get in a SB line.

At Epcot today in good sized crowds and came with no FP+. We are THREE. We have been able to get anything we want but passed on Illuminations as it kicks us down.

Been on TT, Living with Land, Nemo and Soarin’. Heading now to Frozen. First FP+ for it we got an hour ago at 7 pm, kept refreshing, changed a few times and just nabbed one 1:20, yes 10 minutes away.
