Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Summer 2017 (replaces ToT)

I thought the video made it seem kind of cool. But I am sad because I didn't ride the Tower last visit since I was pregnant. I do hope this means they have new rides in mind, not just tearing out existing ones. To those who said remove Bugsland, I'd rather they didn't, you can't replace kiddie rides with thrill rides in a park that is already desperately in need of family rides. They may not be the best kiddie rides, but some kiddie rides without height requirements are needed.. I hope it's true they're moving towards the unused area near Monster's Inc. though I'd be sad to see the Monster's ride go. I wonder if they'd keep it a dark ride and just give it a third theme (it used to be a Limo ride).

Lame. I will be riding TOT on my next 2 trips. I prefer my Marvel at Islands of Adventure. Are they at least leaving the one at Hollywood Studios alone?

First p c. changes to potc then the movie add ins. Hmh, Court of Angels, circle d and big thunder ranchs being changed, destroyed or made off limits, now this insult. I can't even stand it. I feel an aneurysm coming on.

This bothers me a lot. We were discussing this in another topic, and I just don't understand the idea of turning a classic ride into something that is just pop culture. Sure, GOTG is a cool movie, but that's pretty much it. It's not something that will become a classic.

I am so disappointed in Disney right now. How does this fit the DCA theme? Oh, right, it doesn't. It fits...the Tomorrowland theme. That is all.

Exactly! Which brings me to why they refuse to do what needs to be done as put in the money to develop and refurbish Tomorrowland. It needs some love! Why build Star Wars Land and do this GOTG garbage when they could do Tomorrowland some justice and put SW rides and Marvel where it belongs? Shame what they are doing.

I feel like throwing up. Universal builds a whole new Harry Potterland and Disney puts a seat cover on one its best rides. Cheap. I think that dangly ear lobe is messing with Joe's thinking. Just build a third gate you tight empty suits. Leave the good stuff alone.

This would've been great to turn Innoventions into something worth doing. Nah, lets ruin DCA instead.

Yes. I too had been thinking about the innoventions building to be renovated etc into gag. Or use the area behind ToT. Destroying ToT is a major travesty. It's disgusting to me.

No. I am certain I love ToT. And am not a fan of Marvel. Do i like Marvel? Sure. But do i care to see this hostile takeover occur? No!! If if i had the clout to keep this from happening, i would gladly and happily wield that power.

Got that right man. The horrible thing is no matter how many people complain about these changes, the company won't change their corporate minds. I would really be shocked, pleasantly so of course, if they did.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Unlike a lot of people, I've never been a big fan of DCA's ToT. I'm used to the version at WDW, and DCA's pales in comparison. That said, the Guardians of the Galaxy theme is going to clash with the rest of the Hollywood section until Disney finishes converting it into a Marvel land.

I've always felt that DCA's overall theme was too narrow, so I can't really get too worked up over the fact that Disney is starting to broaden it (see Cars Land and Bug's Land, whose relationship to California is tenuous at best). I just hope that they'll spend enough money on it to bring the quality we've come to expect.

So stupid. I hate this so thoroughly. If this was the only change it wouldn't be so bad, but so many things have been chopped in favor of new stuff. I feel like Toon Town is going to be next, and in 20 years the DLR I knew won't be there anymore.

I think at first I wasn't up for the change to ToT, but it's going to be the same ride, with a new look. So I know the ride is still going to be fun.

I feel very mixed about this.

On one hand.....things have to change and move forward, that's just life.

On the other hand, I'm not convinced this will be an improvement in any way. Also, i've never ridden ToT and I guess I never will (esp. if this is coming to WDW)
