Rumor

All sit-down restaurants to have alcohol on the menu
All Magic Kingdom restaurants too??? If this were April 1st, I'd say its got to be an April Fool's Joke! People got so upset about Be Our Guest serving alcohol for dinner. Imagine how those people will feel if all Magic Kingdom restaurants served alcohol?

Yes MK.

Well given that Be Our Guest has now been doing this for a couple of years and the park has not been overtaken by roving groups of drunken hoodlums out to savage our childhoods...

Disney could be eyeing the easy money they've been leaving on the table. :D

Wonder if a big push is for the Skipper Canteen - have to say a tropical drink would pair well there

What are the other places impacted by this?
  • Tony's (wine I guess) - wash down the not so good red sauce
  • LTT (ale, probably not really needed there)
  • Cinderella's Royal Table (seem not needed there, well, until you get the bill)
  • Crystal Palace (also doesn't seem needed there, but ok)
  • Plaza (same thing - though I guess "adult milk shakes" could be fun)
Interesting that if you search for all table service in MK on the Disney website, it includes the Early Morning Magic (can't picture alcohol there), wishes dessert party (could see it there and allow them to increase the price), and the Wishes dessert cruise (again, increase the price)

Guaranteed they see huge profit margins. I don't see them putting quick service liquor anytime soon. But once the door was opened with BOG, it was just a matter of time.

Remember if you adamantly oppose this idea it's being done because Disney World hates you. But if you think this is a fantastic idea, it's because Disney is a business and alcohol is straight cash homey.

If Shanghai was not causing financial strain, does this rumor even exist?

I can see both sides to this controversy. Magic Kingdom came after Walts death and all three of the other parks have alcohol. Now I think I would be opposed if they wanted to do this with Disneyland. That was walts park and he didn't want alcohol in it. So with that said I would be okay with alcohol being expanded at MK.

Minus Club 33.

I guess my feeling is that if disorderly behavior, caused by alcohol or anything else, was dealt with appropriately, there wouldn't be an issue. There is no reason that anyone needs to be exposed to obnoxious drunks, especially in a family entertainment area, however forbidding alcohol is like punishing responsible people to prevent the potential behavior of the non-responsible people.

Which was also Walt created as he wanted a place to entertain special guests. I don't count the club because it's not open to the general public at DL.
Right. But has it been said if Star Wars Land in CA will serve alcohol like DHS? Or are they not doing that for DHS anymore?
