If I had to name my favorite resort, I like them all but if I had to name one...... The poly. Has to be it. We stayed twice at the poly in the last five years. We had a standard view and also we decided to spend a bonus check instead of investing it and let B. Spend it when we die and got a magic kingdom view.
B. And I went for a walk just about every morning over to the grand and around the poly. The smell of bacon from ohanas every morning, the grounds......... If you told me I had to pick one and that is where I would have to stay from now on...... This is it. Looking forward in staying here in a dvc studio.

Nice pic, I have a similar one.

I'm Canadian. I'd rather not watch curling, thank you. Now paint drying. There's excitement.
Well... okay. Given a choice between golf and curling, I'll take curling. If I want to stare at the sky all day, I'll just go outside.

and you call yourself Canadian, I say nay nay Sir!

Hope you are all having a great weekend. We spent Saturday and most of today watching high school basketball. DS and his JV team nailed dow a spot at the provincial championship next weekend with a nice win today. Pretty proud of him in his first season of high school ball.

I got my meatballs in chili sauce and raspberry jelly in the crockpot cooking...

Whoa. That sounds amazing.
Unfortunately, I'm working tonight so will miss the game.
Well... most of it.

and you call yourself Canadian, I say nay nay Sir!

And I don't watch hockey either. (well... the playoffs. Yes.)

Boardwalk September 2015. I liked staying in this location. Not only could you catch the fire works but you also could see what bus was pulling n and out.
If you look to the right of the building on the inn side, about a half inch, you see a tower sticking up, that is the Eiffel Tower in France in world showcase.

I'm on a roll getting these pics to load, I'm going to keep going. It won't let me post more than one pic. Per post for some reason.
Beach club !!!! Tammy and I stayed in a one bedroom. Didn't think I would like it but we did. We had another great view.

Old key west!!!! We spent more then 15 years staying at this resort. One, two bedroom villas while B was growing up.Spent three Christmas Eve's into Christmas Day here. This picture was Christmas Day 2013.
Now that B is grown, we spend more time at Epcot, eating, wineing and eating. Lol Okw has excellent bus service. In well over 20 stays there, I think there were only a small handful of time we had to wait more than 10 min. For a bus. We always had good luck there.
This is the only dvc resort that we stayed in a studio. We stayed in a studio for about 4 days in May of 2015 then moved over to boardwalk. Studios here are spacious and plenty laundry areas to do laundry.
A lot of memories here. If your looking for quiet, this is the place to stay.

This was September. You can tell in my old age I'm getting a little rounder.lol
I'm not a drinker. I never was. Never really got into it. When I was in high school I wasn't a drinker but I was a "smoker". I guess we all have things we did when we were younger and not proud of and I have a few.lol Some I don't remember. Lol
Tammy has gotten me into wine. We try the wine flights at just about every country. We favor Italy and Germany. France is another great stop. Tammy can drink me under the table so I try to spread it out a little. Lol
I got a chance to meet Trike this past September and as soon as the site will let me load the pic, I'll load it.

1985 !!! How times have changed!!! Wouldnt change a thing. In just two days, Mrs.Zerfs will get her first taste of the Disney Magic. She hasn't looked back since. Lol
I never seen someone so excited to go. Remember this is the days before the Internet and the vast amount of info you can find about the place before you even set foot in the place. Other than our local area, the furthest she was away from home was ocean city Maryland. We drove down, 21 hour trip and never went to sleep. She was raised by her mom who was a single parent and just never had the resource to travel. The first night at the magic kingdom I bought her the biggest Mickey Mouse they sold at the time. 31 years later, she still has it.
We are looking forward to our 15 day trip this coming September.

Well, the WWE, er um, NFL has fixed yet another Superbowl. I really don't care the outcome, but they could add some chairs and microphone monologuing in between plays. I mean, the WWE is still fun to watch even though everyone knows it is fixed.

I have to remember that. We do have an avocado tree but mostly I just let the squirrels eat them.

You can box up and mail me them avocados. Yum!

Still one of my favorite resorts. Staying in the A frame of the contemporary, theme park view. Stayed twice and each time we would lay in bed watching wishes. I could sit on the balcony for hours just watching all the buses and boats.

Yes, BLT is my favorite, although I haven't stayed at the Poly. I like that view and short walk to MK.

And the clown at 4am.......... I was the only one around, I could have sworn it said my name when I turned to leave. Lol

My home resort. I really like that pool and water slide. It is one of the better ones at WDW. If you hear the clown talking to you, then it is time to put the beer down. :lmao:

Women folk are in the kitchen making the Superbowl munchies. I got my meatballs in chili sauce and raspberry jelly in the crockpot cooking...

Mexican here - burritos, queso, and chips.

Morning Gents. I guess some of you watched the big game last night. I watched most of it. It's the only football game I watch all year. So, DD (15) comes down to ask when the "halftime thing" is on because she wants to watch it. She watches a few minutes of the game and says "the cat team has cute uniforms". Then I ask ask her if she knows who's playing and she says "Car cats and Den unicorns - that's so cute". :sad2:

I managed to see a bit of the game on my break. Missed the highlight which apparently was Lady Gaga.

Quiet here this morning, Superbowl hangovers maybe?

Nope.

Good, not great game. The Bronco's defense was amazing, Manning, not so much. You knew after they got the lead 90% of the plays were going to be runs. My reaction; Gaga did a nice job on the anthem, halftime was OK and after seeing Newton's post game press conference, he confirms he is still an a$$. The game was still in doubt, dive in for the ball that you fumbled, not jump away like a little girl. Although I know a lot of little girls would have tried and be tougher than you were.

Zerf, nice pics. My DVC favorites are the Boardwalk and Poly. BLT would also be up there, have you stayed there? Enjoyed seeing the wedding pic and like most of you, you married way out of your league.

Randall, sounds like a great spread, I am sure you enjoyed it.

Darcy, congrats to your son good luck to him going forward.

Norm, come on down. You can have all the avocados you can get from the squirrels.

Hope everyone has a good Monday.
