Absolutely! Going either way. Just a nice discount if you can score it. But I wouldn't ever base my trip on it because that's just setting yourself up for disappointment. It's just a bonus.Just wondering would you go to Disney if they did not offer free dining?
Historically, deluxe resorts get the standard dining plan not the deluxe. If we stayed in a Deluxe resort and did get the free dining, is there an option of downgrading and getting some money back from deluxe DDP to the regular DDP?
I don't think they offer deluxe dinning plan for deluxe resorts and never happened in the past..If we stayed in a Deluxe resort and did get the free dining, is there an option of downgrading and getting some money back from deluxe DDP to the regular DDP?
Also are ventures like california grill, citrocis included in the grand floridian tier free dining plan?
For all of you who have the "modify" button and are hoping to use it to book Free Dining, have you actually tried clicking on it? When I do, it just loops back to my reservation page. It's just an endless loop and doesn't actually give me a spot to change anything. Don't want people logging on that morning to modify, only to find out they can't!
it's supposed to be 250 but there is a thread on the Budget Board that is approaching 1300!So, if 4/17 is the rumored date, we have just under 3 weeks to go. What is the max number of pages for a thread?

have other options ready, POFQ has been mostly excluded from FD for years.I hope I'm not joining in too late! We are booked for POFQ Nov.17-23. I've never done the DP. Looking forward to seeing if this might work for us!
We're already booked and are going regardless. The FD is definitely a plus though!Just wondering would you go to Disney if they did not offer free dining?
If they do it in waves do you think it will help avoid the site crashing? Will it be easier to get the earlier set of dates (going 9/9-18)
Thanks! I can't imagine it costing more than I already spent but yes we can be somewhat flexible with moving. I hope not too because we've never stayed at WL but either way it's Disney...I'll be happy in a tent!Well, there's always hope, but last year's Nov dates didn't start until the next Tues. If your dates are flexible, that's going to be your best bet of things to plan/think about. Other than that, you need to have back up resorts and rooms and what moving to them will cost you.
Thinking about staying off property if we can't get free dining.Just wondering would you go to Disney if they did not offer free dining?
Oh, is that $37 per person/per night?
Is there an option on MDE to upgrade to the regular DP online right then or would I have to eventually call and upgrade that? Does it need to be done when the FD is added?
I have a room booked already and this is my first time experiencing adding FD. Am I correct with my thinking of how this all works...when FD is released do I just modify to add FD and nothing else changes? My room rate doesn't change right?
BUMP.It seems there are many variations on what people have on their MDE page and what can and can't be done.
The images attached are what I have. I'm assuming (and please correct me if wrong) that I click "Change Reservation" to the right of my reservation (picture 1).
Then I go to the right of Vacation Offers and choose "Change" (picture 2) and the offers will come up. At the moment there are none for my September date, so it pops up saying there are none available (picture 3).
Is this how it looks for others? Is this where's I'd go to add FD to my reservation if it's avail for my date/room type?
