For comparison, our late 2023 vacation (2 adults, 2 teens) worked out as follows:
Rountrip airfare from BUF to MCO - $20 (flew on JetBlue credit card rewards points, only paid for a servicing fee)
Roundtrip ground transportation from/to MCO, with tips (XL rideshare) - $140
Hotels, 6 nights: (3 nights at Grand Floridian resort studio on rented points, 3 nights at Yacht Club in std. room with VISA cardholder promo rate) -- $2,600
Tickets (3-day parkhoppers purchased through third party, plus 2-day complimentary parkhoppers from prior visit) -- $1,700
Genie+ (bought 2 days at $15/pp for four): $120
Food (7 non-signature TS meals, 1 Fantasmic! TS dinner package, 1 TS dinner show, 4 CS meals, 1 snack/drink break at a lounge, and 9 individual snacks, all plus tax and tip, for 4 people over the course of 6 nights and 7 days): $2,040, BUT it was all paid for with Disney gift cards purchased at a 9% stacked discount, so we actually paid about $1,860.
GRAND TOTAL for 7-day, 6 night trip with 5 days spent in the parks: $6,440
TOTAL TO BE SPENT IN 2024:
- $0 on WDW
- ~$4,000 total on a week-long luxury vacation home rental in the Adirondacks with family members, including estimated grocery expenses and gas
- ~$4,220 for a 4-day, 3-night trip to Universal over Memorial Day weekend (fast approaching!), including $1,800 for 15-month 2-park Seasonal Annual Passes, $1,440 for 3 nights in a premier hotel with passholder discount and unlimited express passes, estimated $800 in food costs, $20 in flight costs (reward points), and $160 for ground transportation. We'll depart with 14 months and 3 weeks left on our 2-park passes, which means subsequent trips within that time period will, in effect, include "free" admission to the two legacy parks.
