Spend the weekend at my DW's school taking pictures and videos of the spring musical Once Upon a Mattress.
Sounds like a great time was had by all. hope you got some good shots.
And very cool that your young'en is still treading the boards.
That particular play is actually one I've got a bit of soft spot for.
Way back in the day (and I mean, waaaay back), my school performed it as their musical for the year. I was one of the folks from the band that got recruited to play in the pit orchestra. That was quite the experience. And I'll also tell you that we were using copies of the original book. Fine for piano and string players (which we had none of), but right nasty keys for young musicians trying to hold down the parts for the wind instruments (reading in C#, Db and Gb for instance can be - shall we say - just a might entertaining).
Finally got DW home, she is exhausted but we are out of the woods on her heath scare. Following up the next couple weeks with specialists to try and find a cause, but we know its not her heart, lungs, or brain causing it.
Home is good.
Not having one of the major known issues to deal with a bit better.
Not knowing exactly what's causing the problems... not so much.
May she rebound quickly and may y'all find out what's really happening very soon.
I couldn't even imagine seeing my DW go through any of that.
I just received this from Ron’s wife Rachel, “It’s with a heavy heart that I tell you Ron passed away yesterday after none. He fought so hard. I wanted to let you know before we post his arrangements. He always talked about how much he enjoyed the DisDad’s club and we enjoyed meeting up with all of you when we could. He was loved and he will be missed.” Ron was Disney Commando.
Very sorry to hear this.
One of the old time veterans from around these parts and a fine dad.
I knew he was having a number of right serious health issues over the last couple years, but even an end to that suffering, doesn't really ease the loss felt by those left behind.
