Official Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend - The Dark Side 2017

It looks so good - I thought heat press!

Did you but the sag files for Vader? I really want the your lack of sparkle disturbes me in Star Wars logo but they are sold out. Thinking of doing it on cricut. Or the yoga 13.1 run you must shirt, but I don't have any Star Wars cut files.

I found a similar stormtrooper one at one point just online doing a search for images. I did a star wars birthday party for my daughter last summer and used a lot of the images I found online on my silhouette :)

Yay for crafts!

Well I'm late to the party, but I just pulled the trigger on the half. I'll be joining my light side pal Calfan. I'd been debating because we are signed up for the Tink 3 weeks after this, and I worry about the knees, but I'm going to limit park time and hope that staves off any issues. Now onto the important things like finding a costume :)

Heat presses are absolutely worth the money! I bought this one about 2 years ago https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AO86I8G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not only are the results better, but it is way faster and easier. We usually go to WDW with my extended family and make 2-3 shirts for the trip. Back in September, we made over 90 shirts for our trip. I can't imagine doing that with an iron.

We still can't figure out what to wear. So stressful!

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars
3. Return of the Jedi
4. The Force Awakens
5. Rogue One
6. Revenge of the Sith
7. The Phantom Menace
8. Attack of the Clones

Your list is pretty spot on. I go back and forth between Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: A New Hope being my favorite. I think it depends on my mood. Also, The Phantom Menace is my favorite of the prequels. It's *hides head in hands* actually the first Star Wars movie I ever saw and is what got me hooked (don't judge, I was in middle school!!) Since re-watching as an adult, I've come to realize it's pretty much crap, but will always hold a special place in my heart as the gateway that got me hooked on Star Wars :)

I got this one from a Silhouette group on Facebook. But I know some of mine I got from one that is all Star Wars. Maybe Darth Sil. Sometimes I trace imagines myself, but if I can find an image already worked up in a file I will use it!

Thank you!

Ok, now I really want a heat press! I normally make shirts for 5 for our family trips. Sometimes I can reuse some of them if the trips are close enough together, but with how little kids and teenagers grow it's getting harder. I make two shirts per day normally for BFF and I for runcations. I do try to reuse a few if possible just to save me time. I know the heat press would help. I'd just have to figure out where to put it! (We don't really live in a tiny house, but we do. ;) )

Phantom Menace gets an unfair rap because of Jar Jar. The prequel with plot issues is actually Attack of the Clones, mostly because for whatever reason, Lucas decided to remove any explanation of why Padme fell in love with Anakin in a movie that needed the love story to make sense. It doesn't help matters much that Anakin in that movie is simultaneously the big man on campus and the biggest dweeb who can't talk to girls to save his life.

And remember, I still actually like Attack of the Clones. It just has dialogue issues (intense hatred of sand, anyone) and a love story that works only because Luke and Leia had to come from somewhere.

This is me. DH, me, 5 kids...and we MUST have shirts LOL @MommaoffherRocker and I will be rocking our matchy matchy shirts this trip and our oldest DSes will do the same :) Oh, dear iron, how I have avoided you for so long..but it's 3 weeks away so I'll have to finally get it in gear!! :rotfl:

Question for the experts: I'm a Disneyland AP holder. I'm assuming the DL AP isn't going to entitle me to free PP race photos at Dark Side since it's WDW. Does anyone know for sure? I'd like to confirm before pulling the trigger on Memory Maker. Thanks!

No DL perks will work at wdw. Same as no wdw ap perks at DL. Have you considered upgrading to the two parks pass? Then you'd get both parks perks.

Thanks for confirming. I almost never go to WDW so the two parks pass doesn't make a lot of sense for me. If I get as hooked on WDW races as DL races after Dark Side, then that will be something to consider, lol! For this race, CaliforniaGirl09 and I can split the cost of Memory Maker, so that makes it a little less painful.

I'm using military rate for memory. One more thing to add to the to do list after I arrive. Can't prebuy.
I think wdw in general can get addicting but us west coasters can't do it as often. It's nice to still find Mickey in the parks though. I like Star Wars but I want it separate from Mickey. Hopefully that will happen when Star Wars land opens up at DL.

For fun while we wait, sugar skull Vader shirts (with the matching ears and sparkle skirt) that we'll wear to the expo. Man, this took forever to weed, but so cute! I still have to do the second one tomorrow. That's how long it took! At least they came out cute!

That's awesome! I have no idea what weed means, but it looks very cool!

Three weeks till the expo!

Looks great!! So excited. But it looks like we still have to wait 2 weeks for corral placement? Booooooo.
