Disney Gift Card Deals

I do not see how this is a scam. Store credit is not the same as cash.
Not you in particular....it's a common scam to buy large amounts of gc's fraudulently and try to use them to get cash or store credit back...also common to use a fake gc to get merchandise, then return it for credit vs return on a fraudulent gc.....as that other post detailed so well, the things we do innocently thinking 'I'm just buying this or that' without realizing we're using a pattern that fraudsters use is how to get shut down fast,as a group. I'm wasn't committing fraud when I bought eBay/target/eBay while churning, but it could have easily been 'caught" and interpreted that way by a computer program designed to stop fraud....

For those waiting on PPDG to send their BB GC from yesterday's $15 off promotion, I just received mine. Hopefully yours shows up soon too.

OK...so what are we all spending our eBucks on??

I am getting $213 and I am sitting on a $50 BB GC and $10 in BB rewards. I could use my BB stuff to get a $60 eBay Gift card which gives me a total of $273 in eBay funds to work with. I am all set with our funds for 2016 so our next trip on the agenda is April 2017. What should I do? GS is not an option and I have had no issues in store with BB. I've had an issue with PPDG in the past, but it seemed to resolve itself. I spent $1000 exactly and then I was "locked out". Once it had been 30 days since the first purchase ($450), I was able to purchase again without ANY issue at all. I have also removed all but one of my bank accounts from my PP account. I do NOT want to get banned from PayPal (who does?), but it would NOT be the end of the world. As I understand it, I could re-open a new PP account under a different e-mail address with a different bank account, correct?

I do not need to be super-aggressive and I have time to be patient. I'm just looking to earn a few eBucks and eBates, even in small amounts, because every little bit helps. The "nest egg" for this churn is "free" money and it is not a cash-equivalent so it can't go towards groceries or any utilities so my risk is minimal. I could also buy $275 in BB from PPDG and load that to a Disney GC and be done with it. I would then start saving my SwagBucks and Perk points and use them towards either Target or BB gift cards. That way, it would equate to either a discount or free Disney gift cards from here on out. The only "issue" with that is there would be no earnings from eBay or eBates.

So, my fellow churners, any suggestions? I am open to opinions.

I have $100 coming. I'll probably just buy a gift card (gas, Sears, or Home Depot). I'm wondering if SVM ever discounts gift cards in eBay bucks redemption months.

I have $105 coming and I will probably do the same. I don't have any more ebay gift cards. I do still plan to buy GC when there is a flash promotion or if I get a good ebucks % offer. But, I will just use my credit card for these as I did yesterday.

My favorite way is using my Target promo free $5 or $10 with purchase gc to get Disney gc. This weekend they have the $10 gc w/ $50 of food or beverages. So since we are having a 4th july party we will get some of the food and all the drink at Target plus stock up on some staple grocery items. I will need to split it up between 5 of us in smaller transactions around $50 each but will earn $50 in Target gc. You have to text to get the code so I think you need 5 different people that you can not just separate into multiple transactions. The coupon text said something about 1 time use code so we did not push it to see if they would allow more than one by same person last time.

Actually opening a new PP account is much harder than it sounds. Once they tie it to your ebay account or the same address or IP address they can shut you down. Personally I'd stay away from PPDG not worth the risk. I would just cash out my earning to Target gift cards and then get Disney discounted cards with your SB and Perk earnings. You could also take the PP option from SB, buy Target gc's from raise with the cash and then convert to Disney

This coupon is actually available as a paper copy in the Target weekly ad as well. I usually get 4 copies of the Sunday paper, so I end up with 4 ads each week. So I just do one transaction and my hubby does another so we can maximize our promo gc value. My mom comes along sometimes also, so then we can do 3 transactions. I prefer using the ad coupon to the text version because I find it much more simplified. No need for everyone else to sign up for their mobile coupons and get texts all the time. LOL

I'll put my ebucks into Kmart/Sears gift cards. Haven't had problems there yet. I just make sure to do some other shopping there as well.

Maybe someone else can chime in who keeps better records but I am almost positive I bought discounted cards from SVM last redemption month. That is my plan this time too.

I did it once to test the waters and will not do it again. For me it is not worth it but for others it might be.

My churning has been on hold too. Nothing appealing at this time. The types of exchanges are so limited... in value they produce per purchase, and in how large of chunks one can do them. Just a couple months ago, it was worth the time to do $1800 a flip since it would produce around $90+perks on each end of the flip. But that is history and things are generating Ebay Bucks only, and only on one side of the flip... and costing gas money. Flipping $200 for 8% ($16) Ebay Bucks is not a good deal if it costs $5 to go to Best Buy, $5 to go to Game Stop, and 2 hours of time. That process earns approx. $4/hour. Even my son earns $20/hour mowing lawns so I'm not going to risk tying up my funds dealing with teenage retail employees who might block you just because they think they're enforcing policies, leaving me wasting even more time to get flipped.

Some ppl might be able to make the current options work for them, but the hassles outweigh the benefits for me right now.

I might look for $10 off $100 gas cards... that's a pretty good way to convert Ebay value to offset real expenses.

I have about $250 to spend and I think I will either buy from resellers, buy discounted gas cards, (I got $100 discounted Sunoco for yesterday for $77) or I may even look into gaming consoles/games to sell to GS for cash (@JKalai, any thoughts on that?). I know I'd take a hit, but it's free money anyway.

I have about the same amt as you in ebucks, some GS cards coming from Cardency, some Target cards, and some Sears cards.
We've postponed our WDW visit, so I am planning to wait and see what comes along.
I wish best buy's ebay store sold their cards, because PPDG is no longer an option for me. Even though I have never had my account frozen, I lose years of life every time I try to buy something from them.
If nothing churnable comes up by the time the bucks expire, I might just buy an ebay card, and wait for a promotion.

Meanwhile,
I wasn't able to make a road trip to Kmart yesterday, but was in our local mall, so I checked out Sears, and as promised they won't exchange gc to gc. I also checked out the GS in the mall, and it is Very small, with no gift cards to speak of.

I am piling up free Target cards that I get from their specials. (I follow a website called Living Rich with Coupons, and between coupons, Checkout51 and Ibotta, I have made some pretty inexpensive purchases that come with a Target card.) If Target and ebay start selling each other's cards again, I will be ready! If not I will exchange the Target cards for Disney cards and/or Southwest cards. Hoping they will have loadable Southwest cards, because I don't know of a way to combine their $50 and $100 cards, which is all I've seen locally.

Right now there are no promos at Gamestop for credit or cash for systems, so you'll be taking guite a big loss (like half). It is however B2G1 free at Gamestop for anything preowned today for pro members and tomorrow for everyone else (yes, including consoles/ipads/iphones/accessories). B2G1 ends on Sunday IIRC. You can factor in the price for three items, and see what the trade in value is for each item on the website.

So, take advantage of the promotion and then turn around and sell them back to GS? Or sell them on eBay?How often do they have promotions like this?

It's only like once or twice a year for B2G1 on everything pre-owned (it's usually just games). You could buy three and turn around and sell them on ebay which would get you the most return back, but you'll have ebay fees/shipping etc. Make sure to check the going price on whatever you buy. Craigslist is also an option if you choose so. I know a lot of people that refuse to do CL.

I just checked my PayPal account and the 2% rewards offered for the month of June included gift cards! Bummer - I would have maxed out if I had known that. It clearly stated that it excluded gift cards. Well, it was an extra 2% for the several hundred I spent otherwise!
