Woo hoo! The party can officially start!! :welcome: HOME!!

C'Mon down!! We're pretty fun, us Jersey people. :rotfl:

But there are a LOT of us. We have been to both New Jersey week (as a native, I have to call it New Jersey, because Jersey is in the UK!) and Easter, and New Jersey week is almost as bad. Not only is it New Jersey week, it is F&W, and I think some type of marathon or mini-marathon usually happens on one of the weekends surrounding the week. And this year, because New Jersey week is the second week of November (it is usually the first week, except when the calendar aligns as it does this year), the MVMCP starts that week as well. :)

Okay - you caught me. I'm a native New Yorker... We shorten everything! :D

Holy cow! I haven't been paying attention to the Disney calendar... I hope I can find a reservation by the time my points become available. Thank you for the run down.:flower1:

That's what I've been stressing over.

Ugh really? We were hoping to hit the tail end of F&W and see the Xmas deco.

From the DIS events page for November:

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon - November 3-6, 2016

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - September 14-November 14, 2016

Christmas at Disney World - November 7, 2016 - December 2016

So that marathon thing is the "incoming" weekend.

Unless you are doing a short stay, you will have to be flexible either in your dates (a week earlier would be probably be MUCH better, or perhaps start in NJ week and end the next) or do a split stay. Right now, Sun 11/5 to Sat. 11/12 for 4 people only shows full availability for an SSR 1 bedroom (173 points). Unfortunately the DVC website tool doesn't easily give me possibilities for each day, or I would post them.

Regardless, don't worry too much - you have many years to make back your investment. I was obsessed with using expiring points, and by the time we closed I could only blow the points on a few days in 2 bedroom villas during our Easter stay (for 4 people). It was hard to move to a regular room in the middle of that vacation. :)

Wow thanks for checking that! I kinda figured it would be a stretch, I can be flexible so I'm not super worried. That week was ideal for us because my kids have 2 days off that week (Election Day & Veterans Day). Our UY is April so I have plenty of time to use the points.
