Josie's Fabulous Hot Cocoa
10 ounces water
2 ounces cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 packages Splenda or 2 Tbs. DaVinci Syrup (to taste)
1 tablespoon good cocoa powder
Pinch of cayenne (ground red pepper), nutmeg or cinnamon
Heat water and cream until simmering.
Add sweetener, vanilla and cocoa powder and whisk smooth.
Sprinkle seasoning of choice on top and stir.
Add another dash on top if desired.
Serve hot.
**The cayenne REALLY brings out the chocolate in things... it's an old Mexican trick for enhancing chocolate... and it's delicious!
