Ok, so I first must confess that I am in favor of the removal of the hat. BUT it is not that hat itself so much as what it has become - a backdrop for a stage and a pin trading booth. At least when it was first put up it housed kiosks covering Walt's live. But, I mean a cover for a pin trading booth doesn't really stack up with Cinderella's Castle, Spaceship Earth, or the Tree of Life.
I do love that you priced out a trip to say good by to it though. I am picturing you talking to the customs agent (I mean, I know you wouldn't really have to go to a customs agent, but work with me) and when he asks you reason for your trip you respond "To say goodbye to a hat"

I absolutely love the pictures of everyone from the BOG bridge staring at the various attractions/castles/etc. Such a cool idea!
So we are right where you were - we have done lunch at BOG a few times but have yet to score a dinner ADR for there. Oh well, another reason to go back
Ok, obviously proposing in the BOG ballroom might be more traditionally romantic but in front of the Muppet Fountain is so unique and would make for a great story! Granted, this is from the guy that proposed during the Andre the Giant fight scene in The Princess Bride, so perhaps, I should not comment on such thing
I literally just finished dinner and I still feel like I could eat that steak right now - really looks good!
The cake looks super cute and I love that she was surprised. I mean, I guess if you don't normally get served a fancy cake inside a castle it might be exciting for you.
