Hello All!
Our trip is scheduled for 11/27-12/4. DH and I went to Disney World 2 years ago, but this time we invited our brother & sister in law and 3 nieces that we adore. Ages will be 5, 3, and 1 1/2. I like to plan, so naturally I have taken over the ADR and fast pass responsibilities.
We are actually surprised them with an all expenses paid trip so we decided to go with the deluxe dining plan in order to have everything already payed for. We can just go and enjoy our meals and order whatever we want! DH and I will be going to Universal for one day so I have worked out all the credits to get us a few signature meals. I tried to make it a nice combo between character meals for the kids and other restaurants for the adults.
We are staying at Art of Animation. Last time we did an All Star resort, but needed an private bedroom to get the kids to sleep.
So far I have been able to get more ADR that I wanted, even CRT but not at an ideal time. Current reservation is at 10:20 AM. We are doing CRT, BOG, O'Hana, Hollywood & Vine, Akershus, Hollywood & Brown Derby, and more.
The thing I am most nervous about is still enjoying it with the added responsibility of kids. DH and I don't have any of our own *yet* and last time we were able to do ride after ride and at our leisure. We are hoping we are easily able to switch with the other adults in our party.
One thing we have not been able to decide on it any special events to do? i.e. Mickey's Christmas Party. They just seem so expensive. When DH and I went 2 years ago the food and wine festival was there and we did a dessert party with a viewing of illuminations. The desserts were a let down and there didn't seem like adequate seating as everyone had to run in and find a table. It was a stampede! Any recommendations for this time of year?
We have to close our small business for the week in order to go on vacation so we really want to do things right! I look forward to talking with you more and enjoy reading your posts!
