Need Help for My "Day of Many Rides"

So here's the tally of what it cost me for my DOMR(TM):

Park hopper = $254
Genie+ = $27
ROTR ILL$ = $22
Tron ILL$ = $20
Total. $323

That's a lot to spend. Keep in mind it was just me. Would've been harder to justify if I had my lovely wife and daughters with me.

Side note: this comes out to $14.68/ride -- not saying this is good or bad; just wondering what the average guest spends per ride per day regardless of G+ and ILL$'s

Anybody know?
Aside from the crazy cost of the one day ticket, I'm surprised you didn't spend more. I have no idea which rides you have to pay extra. Most big rides are beyond us anymore, so I don't take notice.

You did pay extra for uber, but still even it you took all that, multiply by 4 (don't know how many in family), you are talking $1200. I wonder if those who pay for a VIP tour at 5-6 grand ???? a day do as well as you did.

@MrSteve great job on the Trip Report, really enjoyed reading it! Looks like the itinerary that I suggested gave you a pretty good outline for the day. SDD didn't pan out but overall an amazing job hitting up 22 rides! Especially impressive since you had to deal with a monsoon like rain storm and 45 minute delay with heavy winds forcing you to leave the Skyline and take a bus.

Also nice to hear you were able to rope drop and got both FoP and NR completed around 8am-ish time frame at 8:08am. To me that was the key to a fast start for your "Day of Many Rides!" :)

LOL....also I can't blame you on the Banana Fosters bread pudding, my all time favorite. Can't wait to try it when we visit in May!

if it's any consolation, SDD is a fun coaster with a nice view and a unique slingshot mechanic, but it's really not worth the crazy wait/planning that it requires. we often wind up skipping it for this reason - i've been on it maybe twice in many visits.

I couldn’t wait to hear how your day went! Wow, you got so much done. 👏 Some of those rides are new to me too so I loved reading your feedback and ratings. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure!!

From my viewpoint, it was worth it. Especially, since it was only me. It would be harder to justify if it were my entire family of 4.

@Matrixleos, your advice was a great catalyst to get me started. Thank you. Hope you have an amazing trip in May!

Reading your posts about your Day of Many Rides encouraged me to try it. I did this on Saturday 4/27. I was the first car parked at AK at 06:30 and was walking out of MK at 9:40 PM. I only rode 19 rides (one twice). I watched one show, ate at a sit-down lounge for lunch and rode a train, ferry, bus and the Skyliner. I walked over 32,700 steps or 13.6 miles. Thanks for the inspiration!

Mark,

That is awesome! Sounds like you had a great day. Glad my experience helped inspire you.

If you're willing to share, what was your highlight (and low light)? And you can have more than one of each.

My goal was to hit all four parks, ride at least 3 rides in each, grab a park map for each park and use as many forms of Disney transportation as I could. So my highlights were getting Boarding Group 4 for GotG while in-line to get into AK. I took Matrixleos' advice and booked $ILL for Tron and RotR at 07:00 after getting the GotG BG and a 5:15 PM LL for SDD. So that pretty much decided that I would go to Epcot 2nd. I stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort and had a rental car so I was able to drive to AK and then back to CBR to use the Skyliner. I was done with AK and Epcot and was walking into HS at 12:03.

My challenges were that I got a late LL for SDD and so I wasted a lot of time in HS waiting for rides. I took advantage of SR for Test Track and MFSR. I had lunch at Brown Derby Lounge but forgot my back pack on my chair so had to go back and get it after getting almost all the way to ToT for my LL.

While in Epcot I took a chance and got in the standby line for Remy when the posted wait was 70 minutes at 10:25. I was next to board at 11:08 I was off and out of the park and was getting on the Skyliner at 11:22.

My rides were, in order:
FoP - rope drop
Navi - standby
Expedition Everest x2 - standby
GotG - VQ
Test Track - single rider
Remy - standby
Tower of Terror - LL
Star Tours - standby
Vacation Fun - standby
MFSR - single rider
RotR - $ILL
SDD - LL
Pirates of the Caribbean - standby
Tron - $ILL
Buzz Lightyear - LL
PPF - LL
HM - LL
BTMRR - LL
BTMRR - standby

I was also very lucky with the weather, it was 85 and partly cloudy and no rain.

Mark,

Nice report. Glad you had good weather. #GoodWeatherAtDisneyBeatsAMonsoon

Hopefully, our experiences will inspire other people to attempt their own version of "day of many rides."

BTW, I lived in St. Louis Park for about a year.

Oh, nice. I know where that is. I live in a northern suburb of St. Paul.
