Choosing a park on a special event night

Is it still considered a good strategy to go to a park during the day if they are closing early for a party? We are coming in August and not doing any hard ticket events, so I am wondering if it is a good idea to do the MK during the day on a night where they are going to have a MNSSHP (then we can skip to another park)? TIA

Yes. Parks that are closing early for parties are less crowded. It’s a good strategy to start there and hop elsewhere later. Of course you won’t see the fireworks that way obviously, so if that’s important to you maybe hop to MK for the evening another night in the trip.

We like to do this. Go to MK early and head out around 4 pm as the party-goers are entering and the crowd-size starts to get bigger. As PP mentioned, if you want to see MK fireworks, plan to go on another, separate night, if your schedule allows.

Different event, but related to the post... We are planning to go to MK on a Disney After Hours night. We were hoping to hop in line for 7DMT right at close. Will the after hours event result in longer lines at that ride?

What about overall crowd levels that day? Thanks!

It has been frequently reported that the After Hours event has no impact.
