We have been coming to WDW every year since my 28 yr old DS was 2. We became BW DvC owners when nmy 17 yr old DD was born. Today my DD17 and I had our most magical moment.
Had $135 left on Disney Visa Rewards card and today is our last day. We spent am in Epcot and headed to EPCOT resort stores to finish spending it. Stopped at Beaches and Cream for fries and ice cream and decided to leave our waitress the $116 balance on the rewards card as a tip on a $19 bill.
Her reaction was priceless and worth every penny. She was working so hard and we knew she would put better use to the $$ than the souvenirs we were going to buy.
Really glad my DD who will be off on her own at college in a year was with me to see the how happy we made this women -- $116 worth of souvenirs would not have made us that happy.
Now I know most people are not in a position to do this. But we were, and I wanted my daughter to appreciate that. And she did.
There are of course a myriad of free things you can do to pay the magic forward. Open a door for someone. Take a family's picture. Pick up that garbage you were going to step around. Time is more valuable than $$. Spending your time for someone else is a gift. Pay it forward.
