Alright now I'm reeeaallly hoping for FD when I'm there. We suddenly decided to sell our house and buy a new one. So, every bit of discounts I can get will help with this trip! CR for 7 nights in August

My niece will be considered an adult and with the two of us going for 10 nights I will just pay out of pocket for a TS meal or two if we feel we need it. I took her when she was little 4 & 5 and we did all the character meals and TS meals on those previous trips that were 14 nights each.

$40 per night X 10 = $400 it would cost more than that to upgrade to the DDP and we would have to pay even more in tips. So with the two of us even 2 TS meals would be way less and we would have extra CS credits (maybe a hot breakfast).

It's only a bit over $ 20 per adult to upgrade. The $ 40.00 is for the summer offer, which was only one QS a night.
 
Well, April is right around the corner. I'm sure things will be heating up! It can still be a few weeks away and I can't sit here everyday and look at these boards (which is exactly what I've been doing). I'm going to break it up a bit and play computer games, lol....but still check in here every few hours (can't get away from it). What can I say....Hi, my name is Thistlemae and I'm a Disney Board Addict!
 
Yay! Finished booking my 14th day of adr's today. Was able to get everything we wanted at the times we wanted. Now the wait for free dining continues. I was so scared that it was going to drop this last Monday on my ADR day and was trying to figure out how I was going to do both :)

Yes you can and you know you will ;) It's such an addiction. I'm right there with you! I reload the page nonstop and when I'm out.....I have it up on my phone. There's nothing wrong with that...right? :rolleyes1

We were able to get all of ours too! Which I found odd bc everyone always says how difficult it is! Got BOG dinner, the castle for dinner, and chef mickeys

I've never had an issue with this either at least not at 180 days. Even when we traveling 9 people.

I'm going the 24th too! But only for a few days, cause we'll be on the Disney Dream starting the 28th. I'm currently on the "one free meal per day" promotion. So I'm concerned FD won't happen till after that promotion is over. If it happens at all that is..

This has me thinking. There's been a lot of talk of how full the resorts are for the expected FD dates which may affect Disney's decision of whether or not to offer FD. Lots of people reporting that they've booked purely for FD potential and won't be going or will seriously curb their dining expenses if they don't get FD.

Surely if people were canny enough to do that, they would be taking advantage of the ADR too? Which is now taking bookings for the end of September - a "hot" FD potential time. And yet people are getting CRT and BOG reservations easily for the dates and times they want.

Hmmm.

The restaurants are definitely worth it, once you get there. We've always enjoyed them. When we do the regular dining plan, we tend to book our TS meals at lunch because we find our plans tend to unravel as the day rolls on, making the evening ADR's harder to get to.

I was considering doing the same thing...seated lunches. The seated meals take longer than you think and last time we ended up being in a mad rush at night to get to things. Hopefully the lunches will make things less stressful.

I just rounded the $20 per person down from the $21. and change to make it easier to calculate. It's still over $40 per night to upgrade for me and my niece (13) to upgrade to the DDP from the QSDP.

Did you book yours at the 180 mark? That's awesome you were able to get all your choices :)

Me too, booked 8/24-9/1...I can be a bit flexible but not much and changing my dates means changing my adrs which will be harder at some places and changing fkights and changing pto requests....plus im in middle of job hunt! I wish theyd hurry up already

I got everything I wanted at 180 day. Including 10 at CRT breakfast and BOG dinner. It took a little work, up before 5:00am cst and a split 4&6 res for CRT (that one took a call) but it all worked out for us.

Going from last years dates, I'm guessing Aug 19 (or somewhere near there) will be for DV holders and Canadians and then GP will be a week or so later than that.
 
If you're on the DP you don't have to pre-pay for dinner shows or CRT, right? Just use the CC for a guarantee? Just curious, because we plan on doing HDDR and CRT, but I can't book ADRs till May, just trying to figure things out...
