If the Studios is open for early opening at 8 am....does the Hopping Pot open with it? Im just looking at trying some Potter drinks as early as possible

I know Universal questions have their own forums.... Ive already asked in there and all I got back were crickets so here goes.....next Tue Ill be in Universal Studios and since Im staying at Cabana Bay Ill be going to studios for early opening...can I get my butterbeer and pumpkin juice right around the 8-9am range or does the Hopping Pot and butterbeer carts open later? Thanx!

I do not know the answer but I would think if the carts aren't open for early entry they would at least be open for regular hours at 9 am so I would think 9 am would be the latest you'd have to wait. I could be wrong though.

I don't know for certain, but I see absolutely no reason why two of their most popular products wouldn't be available for as long as there are feet on the ground in the park.

i have been at IOA during ee and did see pumpkin juice out in the ice bins by the shops for sale during that time period.
I don't remember if I saw them last october at the studios potter side.
the main restaurants are open early but i have not gone in them during the EE time in order to answer the question of butterbeer/pumpkin juice availability.
One would think that would be there outside normal hours, it is a staple for the restaurants.....

i called guest services a few minutes ago but they were closed.
wanted to ask them if the carts are also out and available for the EE time period, and if the restaurants do sell bb and pj at the breakfast period.

I will call them back in the morning to find the answer for you.

I'm glad to help you out in finding the answer to your question.
You want a definite answer, not a maybe they might be or i think they could be open.

As the Terminator would say, "I'll be back".....

wow!!!!thank you very much!

i'm glad to help you find the answer.

when you go to IOA for pottersville, hogs head has a separate entrance at the side of the building.
this section is attached to the restaurant portion but it is less crowded to go in the back way to Hogs Head.

This is where i go for my butter beer.
line is shorter and they allow AP discounts there.
(no discounts allowed at the carts outside the buildings)
tables inside where you can sit and drink bb there.

Beauty of it is watching the talking head behind the bar.
not that it talks, but it moves.
i have great videos on my iphone of it.

the earliest i have hit the butterbeer has been around 9:30.
when i do EE, i'm there for the rides or take pictures of the place without a lot of people in it.

at the studios side of potterville, i hit the ice cream shop after the main ride during EE.
so, i have no experience of when carts are rolled out for the bb and pj drinks.

i enjoyed the 3 B's more than the restaurant at the studios.
but, that is just me.

I'm not sure about the Hopping Pot, but Leaky Caldron opens for breakfast. They have many of the same drinks.

that's right but the op wants to know for sure if there will be butterbeer and pumpkin juice available for the early entry period.

either carts outside in the potter sections or in the restaurants.

Just realized that was a duplicate topic.

Not sure about Hopping Pot but Leaky Caldron is open for breakfast, but seeing as how I'm not an early bird I've never been in for EE. If the Leaky Caldron is open for EE I wouldn't see any reason why their main headlining drink would not be available! So sweet so early though... In the books they have morning pumpkin juice so it would be blasphemy for them not to have it at the parks!

Yeah I just realized this is a duplicate post. I'm searching like crazy. I'm nearly positive that Leaky Caldron opens for EE and they serve BB.

Ouu as Mac sad my favorite place to get BB is also Hogshead except I always take a left at the register and go outside to drink my butterbeer so I have a fantastic view of the castle.

Oh touring plans they claim Leaky is indeed open and does indeed have butterbeer for EE. However, that's from a website, not from experience. All the other info I found was extremely outdated.
Telling you... It's the ONLY way to enjoy a butterbeer. That and watching the three brothers show.

well, i have wasted about one hour googling it and even touring plans has nothing listed if it is opened during early entry.
calling them in the morning will be the only way i can find out the answer.

Outdoor bar with eight different brews — including Wizard’s Brew (a heavy porter) and Dragon Scale (a hoppy amber)— on draft, each with its own customized tap handle, along with the area's most complete selection of signature non-alcoholic drinks. You can get all four varieties of Butterbeer here: cold, frozen, hot, or soft-serve. If you're peckish, snack portions of meat pasties and bags of British potato crisps are also available, but there is much better food available elsewhere in Diagon Alley. Seating is at a limited number of picnic tables, within sight of the Carkitt Market stage.

if Hopping Pot doesn't open until 9, at least the op can get his beverages in the restaurants during EE.
but, i will call and get clarification on this question that was posed.

i know leaky is open but still need to find out about hopping pot and carts.
i know i saw at ioa potterville the bins were iced up with pumpkin drinks and other drinks in plastic bottles.

i have not hit the restaurants during EE for beverages.
i'm too full of coffee at that time in the morning.

In October leaky wasn't open during EE at universal. Opened at 8am regular park opening time.

The stall selling the elixrs also wasn't open early or late, my DD got one on our 3rd try.

The fruit carts are open during EE and they have pumpkin juice. Not sure about butterbeer at that time but there do seem to be quite a few reports on google about having butterbeer for breakfast before 9 am.

The pumpkin juice in the bottles is different from the pumpkin juice in Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks...just a head's up. I love having a pumpkin juice with my breakfast, but I don't care tfor the bottled version near as much. JMO

Called guest services twice and got the same answer

I was told Hopping Pot is not open during EE but will open when regular park hours begin

If early entry is at 7, when the park officially opens at 8 then Hopping Pot would open at 8

Was also told that the main restaurant opens during EE and has butterbeer available but it is for guests with a package
Not sure how that is held up if someone desires to go in and order a beverage

Pumpkin juice and bottled drinks are put out in the section in the fruit/iced bin areas during EE period during that time period

Same answer both times I called

Isn't the fountain one a pumpkin fizz and the bottled one a pumpkin juice?
