Once in a Lifetime Adventure, Again! ~ PTR

My countdown app is now showing 440 days to go! :genie:

Another item for the bucket list, Breakfast at Be Our Guest.

It's also hard to believe that this time 2 years ago, we had booked our first ever trip through Virgin Holidays. Now here I am, contemplating buying flights later this year now that we are doing it DIY!

After a few weeks of contacting Disney about my reservation refusing to link to MDE, it is finally sorted!

It took Disney 2 different confirmation numbers before it would work, and when it did, for some reason, my surname was spelt completely differently on MDE (even though my booking has the right spelling?!:confused3)

Anyway it is finally working, provisional Magic Band colours chosen. I have selected yellow for a change from pink like the last time, but I will probably end up with another pink! :rotfl:

I am feeling really excited now!

428 days to go.

Glad you finally got it linked! I suspect I'll end up with another pink one in the end. I might buy a special one this time as well! :)

I was starting to worry!

Think Pink might be the winner! But really wanted a different colour.

Any special edition you have in mind?

I'll see what's out then. I seem to think they have open edition ones that are decorated. I'd love a Rapunzel something, or maybe if the have a Donald Duck band, I'd go for that. :)

422 days to go....

It's funny how time flies by though.

This time 2 years ago, we had only booked our first WDW trip a couple of weeks before. :flower:
This time last year, we had just under 2 months to go. :bitelip:

It's hard to believe that it is close to the "this day last year we were flying to Orlando"! Eek!

Now I am wondering how am I going to cope knowing we aren't going until next September?! It's that funny stage were MDE is set-up & linked, but there really isn't anything else to do except log on everyday to look at the reservation :rotfl:

Now I am looking at a city break to Paris this October. Found some good deals, and DBF has never been before & is somewhere he really wants to visit. And now that I have our big WDW holiday booked, I am looking for a smaller holiday to get us in the mood! :rotfl2:

How is anyone else coping with their long wait for your next WDW holiday?

Coping? Badly, that's how!

I seriously can't wait. We booked our first trip in September 2013, and travelled August 2014. I can't believe that's nearly a year ago now, and we still have over a year to go!

I'm trying not to think about it too much... but I have got the Unofficial Guide 2016 on my birthday list and I'm spending WAAAAY to much time on the Disboards!! :)

Haha! I really should try to avoid the DisBoards over the summer months, seeing everyone heading off now and in the coming weeks is making me sad  but I know I can't stay away.

Why can't we just book our reservations & FP+ for the dates we are there, now?! Maybe that is something Disney should seriously consider! Then we would have a whole year of planning, playing around with FP+ and ressies.....:cloud9:

Some good info in this article.

Disney's Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Midway Mania is getting an additional track for next year and the park will be getting a new name at some point, too. The Magic of Disney Animation pavilion will be closing this month, and we are expecting additional attraction closures to clear space for Star Wars Land and a Pixar Place expansion. - love TSMM, and an additional track might help with the SB wait times. Any guesses on the new name for HS? Would also love to see what the Pixar Place expansion includes.

Disney's Animal Kingdom: The Rivers of Light nighttime show will debut in 2017 (*possibly earlier - see comments), as will the park's new Avatar-themed land, which will include a "Soarin'"-style 3D movie as well as a boat ride. - hmmm....a 2017 trip to see this would be lovely. :scratchin

Islands of Adventure: "Skull Island: Reign of Kong" will open by next summer. The Hulk coaster is getting an extensive refurbishment, starting later this year, which will include a new launch mechanism and show improvements. - looking forward the trying Skull Island: Reign of Kong" next year. We loved The Hulk last year, so looking forward to seeing what the new launch mechanism does for the
experience! :bitelip:

Some of the comments on the article are interesting too:-

• Next year will see the introduction of a nighttime Kilimanjaro Safari. That would be great, as AK doesn't seem to have any evening/nighttime activities like the other parks. Granted, the animals do need their beauty sleep. :rotfl:

• The Rivers of Light nighttime show could debut next year instead of 2017.

I've heard Disney's Hollywood Adventure as a possible name for DHS. I quite like it :)

It's be great if Rivers of Light is open by the time we go. I didn't think it would be, but it would be very cool :)

Some seem to think Rivers of Light could appear next year! You never know, we might get lucky!

I like Hollywood Adventures too.

405 Days to go. Almost below the 400 mark....:rolleyes1

Today, I booked Paris for the DBF and I. He has always wanted to go. I went a few years ago with my parents.

We got a really good hotel & flights deal through Expedia. A nice little early Christmas present for the DBF I think!

Heading in October, and I think that calls for a new ticker. Well, why not?
