Traveling to Magic Kingfom from South of Orlando

I've rented a house in Haines City, FL and will be driving to Magic Kingdom on Friday June 12th.

What is quickest route to Magic Kingdom? Should I use World Dr or Epcot Exit from I-4? How much time for traffic should I plan for?

I take it you could be renting at Southern Dunes .

Head North on Hwy 27 for about 10 min. Then Take EXIT ( Right ) Onto Hwy I 4 Orlando ( Going East )

Then Follow Sign's for Disney ( Exit are Right Turns )

Yes we are renting at Southern Dunes.

So following the signs will be the quickest route? I wasn't sure if there were shortcuts or better routes that some of the WDW Vets were aware of.

How much extra time should I add for commuter traffic on a Fri morning around 7:00 AM?

A Place to " Eat " Tip.

As you leave Southern Dunes .... With 24hr Walmart on Right .... Turn LEFT onto Hwy 27

Go past " Aldi " Grocery store on your Right & Shortly you will come to " Manny's Chop House " also on your Right.

Kids eat free on Mondays

Also Try out the Breakfast & Lunch place next door ( Nick's ??)

Thanks for the tips.

I've heard a lot of good things about Manny's chophouse, but haven't given it much thought due to my three young kids (6,4,2). When I hear chophouse I think really nice steakhouse.

I just went to thier website and saw that it is family friendly. We'll definitely eat there during our stay.

Make sure you call ahead. Wait times there are outrageous! Our first time we didn't know and our wait was an hour and a half!

Nope. No reservations, just call ahead. Call as early as you can!
