Universal just raised (today) the 1 day 1 park ticket prices to $105 Adult, $100 child. They beat Disney to the punch this year. 1 day park/park is now 155.

One 1 one day is now $105. It was at $102 yesterday. Children’s tickets cost $100, up from $97. One-day park to park admission costs $155, up from $147. Child park/park is now $150, up from $142.

I figured this was coming
Now we wait for wdw to make their announcements

UT should be selling the rest of their inventory out before they start with the new priced tickets

I feel like I finally did something right, I bought our universal tickets this past weekend! My husband really wanted me to wait but I felt sure they would go up soon. I bought some from UT (they arrived today) and I bought 1 ap and printed that stuff off. My AP is locked in, right? Even if I don't activate it until Aug?

I don't really think they went up that much, but for a family of five, it doesn't take long to add up and truthfully, I'd rather spend my money on snacks.

yes, you are locked in and no increase for you whenever you activate your ap.

if you have purchased a voucher for AP, you are good. No mention of AP increase in alert i received from another board today.

counting on fingers & toes, largest increase in ticket prices indicated on 1st post (thanks OP) is under 6%, single day tix around 3%. With Kong coming, surprised it wasn't more:duck:.

as a comparison (fair or otherwise) since the MYW tix were rolled out for WDW, believe the annual increases generally 10% or more.

I figured it would be more, for both places since people are reporting crowds are up in general. It feels really good to have that all taken care of.

Well the other ticket types increased more....the 3-day park-to-park online price went up $20 per ticket (not including their current promotion of buy 2-day park-to-park and get 3rd day free)...for us with tax that equals over $130 more total for 5 adults..that's a decent amount in all honesty.

The 4 day ticket is now the exact same price as the Annual Pass. Is there any reason to do 4 day tickets right now??? On Undercover Tourist, they are about $10 cheaper, so I guess that would be about $40 cheaper for family of four.

Got ours last week too! Undercover tourist is still the best deal right now but AAA hasn't increased their prices yet. Plus you can get the AAA discounts in the parks if you purchase through them. For our trip in May/June, I bought one from the AAA site with American Express (to be able to use the AE lounge) and the others from Undercover Tourist. I plan on upgrading to AP when we get there. Hopefully the APs aren't increased too much.

AAA Universal Tickets

Booked hotel using AP rate. Can I still buy the 4 day tix and then upgrade at Universal?

I bought two "buy 2 days, get 2 days free" UT tickets last night. We plan on using them the summer of 2017. If possible, we may want to upgrade them to AP's the first day, with no blackout summer days. Does Universal "bridge" the price like Disney does?

Yes they do.

My first thought ......
Power pass cost increase

Why buy the 4 day ticket when you can have the AP and enjoy some
perks

I have no idea if the ap's will increase in price
I'm just thinking ahead
