Another FP+ Issue.

I just called Disney due to a problem booking FP October 4, 5 and 6th for my upcoming trip. They stated there is a Global problem and NO ONE can book for those dates. They said they have no "time line" for when the dates will become available. I was told to check twice a day "once in the morning and once at night". This is the first major problem I have personally encountered with FP+, but this is crazy. o_O:furious:

Wow. That's incredibly dumb and frustrating. I'm supposed to be able to book this weekend (I arrive on 9/25). I leave on the 4th.

Any idea if this effects any other dates before the 4th?

I have FP booked September 22-October 3 right now (missing September 30 and September 27 because I don't plan on being in park those days) but no problems any of those dates (I can add them to the 30 and 27 no problem if I wanted to)

Well the good thing is that most people don't have access to those days yet unless they have a 2 week trip booked. You most likely won't miss out on any passes if you get online late.

OP when are you starting your trip? at 60+ and trying to book oct 4-6 that put those dates at days 71 72 and 73. Perhaps it has to do with length of stay and the typed of tickets you have since you are attempting to book dates significantly after the 60 plus stay. Not sure but is there a max to "length of stay" beyond 60 days?

My trip is September 22-October 6 (already booked FP up until October 3). However, like I said Disney said that there is a problem with their computer system (aka FP system) and that as of right now no one is able to book the dates of October 4, 5 and 6th. They also said there was an issue for dates in November (but that guests would not know because no guests can access that month yet)

I just wanted to give people heads up who are coming up to their FP window.

True. But it would be so annoying to have to keep watching for those dates to show up so you could get things booked before everyone else does.

I'd be quite annoyed if those were the days late in my trip that were supposed to be my +10, +11 and +12 where I would have had the best jump on everyone else, and now it will just be a free for all when they show up.

Especially since those days would give you the best advantage using FP+. I hope get it fixed soon. We're only 8 days away from making our FP choices.

Our 60 day is coming up in a week also, and I'm very concerned this won't be fixed for us to book FP+ for the MK on the 5th/8th......
I'm glad at least to hear confirmation that Disney knows about this.... not so glad the CMs I talked to earlier today were clueless to this fact.....

That really stinks! I would be so annoyed. I'm sorry.

Oh Disney IT, you never cease to infuriate people.

Exactly the same problem over here (with exactly the same trip dates as you!) - I called today and was told to just "keep checking", as no one knows when they will be made available?! :confused3 If I spot that they're available I'll come back here and let you know :thumbsup2

FP+ is supposed to be 60 days plus length of stay up to 14 days. I believe the OP has an annual pass. At least there was someone posting about these same dates who did have an annual pass.

It would have been fine except: I mentioned Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and how I hoped when they fix the issue I would be able to get a FP for it. The IT lady says "Oh well if it was a year ago I would say there might be a problem but people are able to get those FP at 30 days out. You just might not get it in the morning or the time you want but you shouldn't have a problem getting it" I kept my composure but that statement really upset me:sad2:.

<Rant> If I am booking a two week vacation with resort stay and have an AP I expect to be able to book 14/15 days of FP and those last days, I should be able to plan my days perfect with the perfect FP times and not have to worry that I won't get the fastpasses I want for the day. Now I have to check every day (twice a day according to her) to see if they fixed their system and hope I can get it once it becomes available. If it was so easy to get then why couldn't I book it as a FP for the first day of my trip at 60 days out? Her nonchalant reply made me very upset. <End Rant>:headache:

Hopefully they resolve the issue and I can go back to worrying about fixing my ADR times:rolleyes:

In all honesty, I would not be stressed about it. I can only travel during the peak seasons and never have issues booking FPs a short time out. In fact, I'll be at the parks starting this Wednesday and was able to make FPs for things like Soarin' and Mine Train a few days ago.

I too am hoping they fix it. My window opens the 31st for our 9/29-10/6 stay. Thanks for the heads up at least so I am not in a panic if I can't book those few days yet.

For some reason this isn't true about Sept and, I am assuming, Oct. Mine Train is booked solid for many days up until the 26th.

I would be really mad about this. You are losing all the advantage of having a long trip and APs and it is adding stress to your planning, which can already be stressful. I would keep calling and complaining and see how they make it right for you. I would not trust the response of one phone CM.

I'm honesty not stressing it. I am to busy working and stressing about standard view and wilderness lodge for December (hot mess in both regards)

Except that poster has already said that they weren't able to get FP for any of the dates near the beginning of their trip. For some reason availability is much worse during the fall when the hours are shorter.

We are almost 2 years past the "test" rollout and one year past full implementation. Disney should have this working by now. Most people don't want to have to check the website multiple times a day to get what they want. And in the OP's case, she shouldn't have to. She's already jumped through all the hoops Disney set up for FP+, so to speak.
