What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Made myself some more fruit salad and put quite a dent in the produce supplies last night.
Thunk and thunk on it and decided to finish off this week then start some version of a Mediterranean diet which my doc suggested even though I told her that’s pretty much how I eat already. Cutting out starches and cake, only poultry and fish as protein.

So tonight I’m going whole hog and having pasta shells, tomatoes, broccoli, chicken, ham with mascarpone cheese sauce.

Dessert will be mango gelato.

I still haven't packed for an 8am flight in the morning, so no cooking for me. :o We're having lamb & chicken shawarma wraps from a local Lebanese restaurant.

Change of plans. Correction below.

Moved middle DD out of her dorm yesterday. She wasn’t done with her day until 5 pm and we had to load up and then drive 3 hours after that. Got a family meal of chicken tenders on the way home. Didn’t eat until almost 10 pm. Probably leftovers tonight.

Haven’t had calf’s liver in donkey years probably because supermarkets don’t carry the meat and the butcher shop I used to buy it at closed down never to re-open during the pandemic.
Yes but today I just wanted it so I called a Manhattan shop, ordered it then sent my home attendant to pick it up along with a head of cauliflower. Got the fresh blanched string beans out of the freezer. Avoided getting almond lemon cake which was serious hard work but I know it’s not gonna help so why tempt myself?
So tonight it’s calf liver with Dijon mustard, mashed cauliflower to replace potatoes, and sautéed green beans. Blackberries and chopped mango with a meringue kiss for dessert.

Tonight was an audible. Was going to do chicken , but we decided to go to the nearby Cheesecake Factory . Chicken will be tomorrow night.
