Airmiles Shop the Block Earn up to 2,000 Miles

They screwed up. You need to have the STB coupon scanned. It shows as a separate line on my receipt. I'm in AB too.

I did 3 shops today... Shell, Staples and Rexall. $46 at Rexall and 121 Airmiles. Not bad lol

The Ontario Rexall coupon from last weekend said no coupon required too. You couldn't save it to print it. I didn't use one.

Just to confirm for Sobeys i am planning on using the coupons for:
  • Get 20 am bonus miles when you buy 3 packages of Maple Lodge Chicken Bacon, Bologne or ultimate frankfurters, 350-900 g
  • Get 30 am bonus miles when you buy 2 Herbal Essences hair care 300ml
  • Get 20 bonus am when you buy 3 Cadbury chocolate bars , family size. 85-100 g
  • Get 25 bonus am when you buy 3 maxwell house and nabob pods or tassimo discs, 105-153 g
  • Get 60 bonus am when you spend $100 or more.
I have two questions...can I buy them all in the same shop on the same receipt and they each count as separate stb offers or will it only be one? Just want to be sure. Also, can you use any of them more than once on the same receipt (ie chocolate bars) and get multiple am? I think for stb a coupon will only count once correct?
Yes you can do them all in one transaction and they will count as separate offers (unless you're trying to do either the MasterCard or AMEX one and want to get in the required transactions!)

You need to read the fine print on the coupons regarding multiple use. The specifics for the chocolate bar are:

Rexall shop on my way home today, spent $61.93 and snagged 168 AM PLUS a book of stamps using:

LoadnGo offer of spend $60 get 100
Email coupon of spend $30 get 50 AM
StB coupon of spend $25 get 15 AM (coupon # 2 used and another AMEX transaction)

And the stamps? Spend $25 on Hallmark products get a booklet of stamps FREE! I had to get hubby's B-day, my dad's 85th B-day, a sympathy card and a "generic-have-on-hand" b-day card.

I shushed the cashier when she told me it was seniors day, nope i have 2 more days and since everything was regular price i would have needed to find another $12.40 worth of stuff :O

Awesome! Thanks! I was sure what I had read that it could all be done in one shot but wanted to be sure. As the chocolate bars I did read that in hind site...not sure why it didn't click.

I finished one round of STB today! I used my 5th coupon at Rexall's (spend $25 get 15 stacked with their spend $30 get 50 coupon for 66 air miles).
Coupons 6 and 7 were used at Foodland this afternoon. Buy 3 chocolate bars for 20 (bought 4 and received another 25), plus the Tia taco kit for 10.

Now I'll do another round on my husband's new Air Miles card. :)

The Cashiers at my Foodland are grouchy when it comes to Air Miles. Man, I don't know what it is. When I questioned if the Tia taco kit coupon was entered as it didn't show up on the screen, the Cashier I had grumbled that she's told me before they can take up to 120 days to show on my account. I told her these are a special promo and if the coupon code does not show up on the receipt, it won't matter how many days go by - I won't get the miles. I said we'd go ahead and complete the purchase but if it didn't show on the receipt, I was returning the taco kit and would want my coupon back. It showed up just fine.

Then the Cashiers changed so my friend checked out with a different cashier. She handed over her chocolate STB coupon. The Cashier waved it over the scanner and put it aside. I pointed out it didn't work and said the code needs to be typed in to get the coupon to work and the 20 air miles to credit. She wasn't going to, pointing to the 25 miles saying my friend got them. I explained those are the flyer offer of buy 4 chocolate bars get 25. This is purchase 3 get 20. Then she reads the fine print and says nope, sorry, 1 per customer. I told her again to type it in. The flyer offer has nothing to do with the coupon. These are seperate offers, it will work, the other cashier just did it with me for heaven's sake. I think the only reason she finally typed it in was because the line was getting long and I was not going to walk away until she did.

Sheesh...

Regarding the chocolate bars -> 1 coupon is for use at Sobey's and the other 1 is to use at Foodland. So these are going to be treated as 2 seperate STB coupons and not 1, correct? I ended up using both coupons.
Yes, this is different than other coupons -- they are store specific with separate UPC codes

Question about the chocolate bars gang ...
I've done this offer twice (yes i broke down and created a new account for myself, help me I'm sick :P ) and i didn't see any miles post on the receipt but i do have the PLU code 65.

I really hope this worked because today's trip involved a subway, streetcar and a long walk in the cold!
Then wandered back up the city and stopped at the Bay to use the Spend $50.00 get 50 and i KNOW that worked because the amount of HBC points was over 2000 and that will convert to 50 AM next week.

You guys are all talking about this PLU code for Sobeys. Mine does not have that at all. It just has the usual "Spend and Earn 50 Miles" Maybe it's different for each region or store?

Each time I have done the chocolate bar offer both the PLU code and the AM have shown on the receipt. That doesn't mean yours won't work but it may be another online chat conversation :sad1:.

Both times my chocolate bar offer has also given a PLU code and the amount of AM earned on the receipt.

I never thought of looking at the bar codes. That does show them as seperate coupons and I should have been able to figure that out. LOL - thanks Duck!

When I did the chocolate bars at Sobey's I didn't get the points so I called and the person just gave me 20 points but he couldn't do anything for the STB coupon but I do have the PLU 65 on my bill so hopefully the coupon will count. I will get 7 not including this one so I should be okay. Both the points and coupon code showed up when I shopped at Foodland.

The same thing happened to me at Sobeys Urban Fresh at Spadina and Front. I kept the reciept and all the product in the bag, so I'm thinking of returning everything and re-purchasing at a real Sobeys instead. I don't want to wait 120 days to find out the coupon wasn't properly applied.

Lucky Ducky! My Rexall didn’t let me stack today. I am trying again at another Rexall tomorrow. :sad2:

Monday I tried the one at College & Bay -- the 2 gift cards worked fine but the chocolate nope. Today i tried the one on Queens Quay because the other one didn't have the chocolate hubby likes. IF that doesn't work I'm also out 2 Presto taps <sigh> The coupon says Urban Fresh on it so there's no reason it shouldn't work. (can't take mine back, most is GONE!)

Yup...for me...it's going to be tight to get the 7 +1 buffer...But I'm determined. I used the Shell one yesterday...doing some online shopping tomorrow for hopefully some good AM points. Crossing my fingers I can make this one. But I'm a determined Am hunter :drive:
