Coffee for the coffee maker at Pop Century

Sorry if this has been asked already. I think the newly renovated rooms at Pop Century have a coffee maker, but it's not a keurig type, right? I assume then that they're the little single pot sized bags. Does Disney supply a few bags and you buy more during your stay? What do they cost? Thank you!

It is not a Keurig, it takes the pods - Disney provides regular and decaf Joffrey's bags and they will replenish them if needed. :thumbsup2

They are in a drawer above the fridge.

Well that's a shocker. I would have thought they would of charged for them. Thanks for letting me know!

Love the Joffrey's in room! We don't do decaf so we request just regular from Mousekeeping. Each pod makes 1 cup but Machine has 2 baskets to hold one pod each so you can brew 2 consecutive servings. We order fresh coffee by the pound from Joffrey's directly so we can enjoy it at home. The in-room coffee is French Bistro.

We used these when we were at Pop, and all you have to do is leave a note requesting some more coffee of whatever type you need, and when you come back, the drawer will have at least 3 or 4 pods in it along with creamers and sugars.

Just a friendly suggestion.... thoroughly wash the coffee maker yourself before using it. ;) If you can pack a little dishwashing liquid to clean it with and even white vinegar to run through it, I highly recommend doing so.

Excuse me for the blasphemy , but I don't drink coffee. Hubby makes up for it though, so to clarify the coffee makers don't take the Keurig pods? I was thinking he could bring some of his own flavors for home...

Nope, the coffee pods are a different shape than Keurig pods. s. Keurig pods won't fit.

Can I-ask a really dumb question? Can you put a cup under the dispenser and just heat water? I am more of a tea (bag) drinker. I can do coffee too though. Awesome that we don’t have to pay for the coffee. We pay enough as it is.

Just don't put a pod in the tray. Open up the attachments below.

What if we’ve opted out of “mousekeeping?” Will we need to call front desk for supplies? Has anyone done this? You get a gift card in lieu of housekeeping services.

I'm a tea drinker too and I can always taste residue coffee doing this. I brought a small electric kettle with me and some tea bags. I even brought 2 stoneware mugs (Dollar store) because I don't like paper cups for tea. Perfect!!

Another question (an admittedly silly one) can you use pre-ground coffee from home with these machines? We love to bring coffee from our favorite local place on vacation.

No, unless you have it put into the little flat round pods, like round tea bags.

When we were there we had opted out of “Mousekeeping,” but were told if we needed supplies (towels, coffee things) to call the front desk. They were very specific when I called, wanting to know how many of what (cups, coffee, etc.). I loved having the coffee maker in the room & yes, there is no charge. We received a $60 gift card for opting out of having housekeeping come to our room daily. I think it is based on how many nights minus one. We also asked to have our trash bins emptied and some fresh towels brought.

Anyone know if they include Splenda with the coffee supplies or if it can be requested? Also happy to bring it along from home. Thanks!

Based on the photo higher up in the thread, the white packets are sugar and of course the pink are a Sweet n Low substitute though not by name. I'm almost positive you can pick up yellow packets in the food court, but no where is it called Splenda by name. If you want that particular sweetener by name, you might want to bring your own packets to be positive.
