Park makeup holy grail...and need advice

I know the subject of park makeup comes up from time to time here so I wanted to throw this out to you ladies. I went to Ulta the other day to pick up my standard eyeliner (Laura Mercier) and they apparently don't carry that line anymore. The salesgirl saw my look of panic and when I explained that I needed an eyeliner able to withstand Florida heat and a day of touring Disney parks she smiled and handed me an eyeliner by IT...it's the No-Tug, waterproof anti-aging gel eyeliner.

HOLY MACKEREL!

This stuff has not budged even after a 9 hour day working on my farm here in NC with temps in the upper 90's and 90% humidity AND sleeping in it!! It's like sorcery I tells ya. I have worn it on the waterline and below the lower lash line and not once have I had to wipe under my eyes to get rid of bleeding, smearing, raccooning etc or had to pick the black crust out of the inner corner of my eye. It's amazing.

Now, can one of you recommend an equally amazing moisturizer with spf that won't make my face look like it's been rubber with a slice of NY pizza (greasy) or burn my eyes like I've been sprayed by one of those spitty dinosaurs from Jurassic Park when I sweat and it gets in my eyes?? I just bought Garnier brightening moisturizer (supposed to protect against and correct sun damage) vitamin C moisture and my face looks like an oil slick and my eyes burn like fire when I sweat.

When I go to WDW all I wear is moisturizer w/sunblock, eyeliner and lip liner with an spf tinted lip balm.

While we are at it, what type of body sunblock do you like for all day park touring?

I swear by Olay Complete All Day Moisture Cream w/SPF. (in a jar) I have used it daily for several years and it has never failed me at Disney -Apply it in the morning and I'm set.

I used to used Olay complete, but the lotion in the bottle. Maybe I need to switch to the cream? The lotion always left me greasy (and burned my eyes...I think it must be the spf that burns).

I hear ya! I switched to the cream and haven't gone back. I've never found it to be greasy and even during the hottest months I've never felt any stinging at all. For me it's been good on its own as well as under make up. They also make it in sensitive formula for those that need it - but I think the regular formula is pretty sensitive already.

I actually use the reverse. Sunscreen with moisturizer. Hawaii tropic silk hydration face. no slick, rubbery face and doesn't sting

Thanks for the info on they eyeliner off to get some

I use Dr Jart Every Sun Day sunscreen. I use the Illuminating one which adds some glow without looking greasy. It makes my skin look pretty good even without makeup. I believe they have it without the illumination.

Funny that eyeliner works for you. I've used it, didn't stay for me at all.
Strange how things work for some and not others.
I use a No Excuses sunscreen gel by Julep followed by a Urban Decay Self Adjusting Primer topped off with a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural pressed powder

For body sunscreen I use Super Sparkle Sunscreen (glitter sunscreen)

I'm super fussy about sunscreen. I was lucky enough to find a great SPF moisturizer years ago! It's such a great product that it's helped me stay wrinkle free at age 55!

Eucerin Sensitive Skin Daily Protection Face Lotion, Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I've used it for about 7 or 8 years, daily. I have sensitive combination skin, and this moisturizer sinks in completely, doesn't irritate my skin, and the SPF seems to work great. It is very easy to wear under make-up. I can't say enough good things about it!! Plus it's really reasonably priced, about $8 a bottle. Give it a try!

I absolutely love Clinique's Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. It doesn't have SPF but I just apply my regular sunscreen on top (I feel like any moisturizer with SPF isn't going to be strong enough for that powerful Florida sun and I don't want any sun damage). But the moisturizer feels so light and is totally non-greasy, it's awesome.

No way! Really? I fell asleep last night without taking the eyeliner off and it is STILL on my eyes this morning (and that's after getting up at 7 to go out in the heat and humidity for an hour to feed the horses LOL). I think you are right about how some people react differently to some products than others. Must depend on the type of skin you have.

I use that, and yes, don't get it in your eyes. It stings like crazy!

I like It Cosmetics' CC cream as a moisturizer/foundation/SPF combo... also Supergoop's BB cream. If you're looking for something without a tint, I'd suggest going into Sephora and getting some samples for free so you can try it all out beforehand. Different products work differently for different skin types - for example I'm super dry so nothing really makes me greasy because my skin drinks it all up!

Shoot that's a big no on the Eucerin for me. I just picked some up while food shopping today and put it on and my face is so shiny from it now you could see it from outer space.

Off to try the Olay cream.

The Olay cream was a little better. Still a bit shiny. Sigh. My favorite was the drugstore brand Studio 35 color correcting vitamin c moisturizing lotion but it has no spf. Man I loved that stuff.

I'm realizing its the spf that makes me shiny and stings.

I vote for the Olay cream as well.

While we are on this topic, who's got a good under eye concealer that doesn't melt off?

Oh thank you for this thread, I'm been on the lookout for "Disney Makeup". So many kinds and brands out there to try. I'm curious: what is everyone's go-to mascara? Do you go with waterproof? SO many brands out there, like I said, especially for mascara. We will be there at the very end of August, into the first Saturday of September. Thanks all!!
