Moana moving?

I have heard rumors of Moana leaving HS; the Moms Panel was very specific at one point that she would leave 4/16 (acted as though the announcement had already been made). Has anyone else heard this, or heard where she might meet instead?

On Monday, I was waiting in line at the Toy Story character line at DHS. The cast member told me (with no prompting on my part) that the rumor is that Moana will leave her spot at One Man's Dream in mid-April. He had no information about whether she would move somewhere else or be gone completely.

Heard she is moving to MK. She was in Adventureland the other day.

Rumor heard was that Groot will be coming to DHS. Makes sense with new movie coming out.

I wonder what character will leave the MK when Moana moves. They rarely add new ones without taking someone else away.

They are actively auditioning for Star Lord so that might be it, maybe One Man's Dream will become the character spot for whatever movie is coming out, like they used to do inside the Animation Building

Not sure where Moana will move to, but there is a rumored meet and greet with Starlord and Groot that is supposed to start soon.

They are auditioning for Star Lord and Groot, per recent casting rumor. The casting announcement for Star Lord predicted a meet and greet around April, so I'm willing to bet that's what will be in HS once Moana moves.

Didn't Tinkerbell and - quite a while ago - Periwinkle used to meet in Adventureland? Last trip I recall just Tinkerbell being at Town Hall where Mickey also was.

They did. They had moved Pixie Hollow from Toontown to Adventureland in the spot where Skipper Canteen is now.

But I'd still be on the lookout for some other character to leave somewhere in the park. Our fave Marie got the axe in one of those deals.

I remember Marie being at the front of MK for a photo op the first time we went to Disney with DD then 4-1/2. Never seen her since. Only other characters that I've seen meet in Adventureland regularly are Jasmine and/or Aladdin or sometimes both. I've seen Genie and Jack Sparrow during a MVMCP party too. This would be interesting. I personally would think Moana would be a better fit in Princess Fairytale Hall.

The characters adjustments don't always come from the same land. It can be from anywhere in the park.

I would hate to see anyone at Fairytale Hall leave.

Makes sense to promote new movies at DHS. Having newer characters would also be a draw.

Dd and I were just talking about this a few days ago. Her bf went to an audition a few weeks ago....Star Lord was being looked for at that audition as well as other characters. Well....the bf said that this one guy made it through to the end, went to get videoed, and when he came out, all sorts of hair and makeup CMs swarmed him....tweaking his hair and such. Looks like he is probably going to be one of the those who get to hang out with the Star Lord!!!
In any case, dd told me that Moana is moving to AdventureLand. In the Skipper Canteen area, across from the Treehouse.

Really hope they have the new Moana meet sorted out soon! She is a big favorite in my house too - and I have heard that character interactions with her have been fun so far. I agree that Adventureland would be good - she isn't a princess, and I don't think that any of the princesses currently meeting at Fairytale hall should be bumped - my DD doesn't know Elena, but I know she is popular with lots of kids, but she loves both Tiana and Rapunzel. For that matter, I'm not sure which Character I would want to see go...
