Which hotel would you stay at for your Honeymoon?

I'm just curious which hotel you guys would stay at? An Onsite Disney hotel or good neighbour hotel/motel?

Never been to DL, but I'd do the very best room choice I could afford Onsite. Congrats and have a Magical Trip/Honeymoon.

Probably offsite. If you're going to be in the parks as much as possible, stay across Harbor and maybe spring for a slightly upgraded room. If you're going to want some privacy, I'd spend a little more and be closer to the convention center where the hotels tend to be a little bit quieter, like Sheraton Park. As far as on site, if you're going to be in the parks for long hours, you might be overspending. And in my experience, the on site hotels can be loud and lots of kids running up and down the halls. You can get that on Harbor too, but depending on suite locations in the hotel and the amount of time actually in the room it might not be a deal breaker for the price.

If you're going to take advantage of the MMs I'd stay on site - probably at the Disneyland Hotel. If you're not going to be using them I'd save some money and stay off site somewhere where they'll guarantee a King room and use the money saved to have dinner at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose.

Adult only trip for a Honeymoon...Grand hands down if budget allows.

Probably offsite. If you're going to be in the parks as much as possible...

If they are on their Honeymoon...I home they are NOT in the parks as MUCH as possible!

I've seen enough people come here planning honeymoon trips that claim they're going for 2-3 days and planning as much park time as possible to know that at least half of a lot of couples think that's how their trip will go.

MRI,

* isolated units, so very little tourist noise
* resort like feeling
* spouse can go get breakfast tray and bring back an A+ breakfast meal
* very possible to find an empty hot tub
* easy access to bring in flowers, food from store, but no easy parking.
* pool is very poor for adults

Disneyland Hotel. At night it is so romantic with the outdoor fireplace and bridge over the pools and the tiki bar. The grounds are stunning. And if you mention it's your honeymoon for sure you'd find some special touches in the room.

I also found that it was the quietest of the three onsite hotels. There are lots of kids running around the GCH and Paradise Pier Lobby but DLH being spread out felt much quieter and we saw more adults than kids.

I love Grand Californian the best, but it can be very noisy because your room will likely either be overlooking DCA, Downtown Disney or the pool area. When we spent a few nights in a room (VGC Villa), we were so tired of the World of Color soundtrack. Even with all doors and windows closed, the sound was loud in our room.

If you want to splurge and don't mind paying a lot for a themed room, you may enjoy one of the signature suites at Disneyland Hotel. You can see those online https://disneyland.disney.go.com/hotels/disneyland-hotel/rates-rooms/

If you are like I was when I got married, I couldn't afford something like that and a standard room was completely fine for us. Let's face it, on a honeymoon, when you are in the room, you will be kind of busy and probably not paying a lot of attention to your surroundings. Regardless of where you stay, you'll have a great experience and you can visit anything on any of lounges/restaurants on any of the other hotel grounds.

No extra charge for a King size bed. As far as doing anything special, they may surprise you with something like decorations or a dessert or something like that.

We stayed offsite at the Hyatt Regency on Harbor. They have a free shuttle service (not part of ART) which gets people to the parks easily.

The rooms are lovely and spacious, service is good, also the in-hotel restaurant is nice too, with lovely food. Can be a little pricey but that makes it extra special for a honeymoon.

For my honeymoon, I'd splurge for onsite and go to either the DL Hotel or Grand Californian (I love the proximity and theme of GCH, but I also love the elegance at the DL Hotel..and the headboards!)

It's been 10+ years now, but we went to WDW on our honeymoon and splurged for an MK view room at the Grand Floridian. We still don't regret that decision (keeping in mind it was almost 50% less/night then compared to now!)...it was definitely worth the splurge, for us!

But on the other hand...the Courtyard, Standard View and Pool views are some of the quietest hotel rooms I have ever been in...but yeah, the DTD Disney View and rooms overlooking DCA can be pretty annoyingly noisy.

We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon. We stayed at Park Vue Inn (on Harbor right across from the parks.) We booked one of the 2 jacuzzi rooms with a king bed. It was very romantic between park visits. Jacuzzi was in a corner with full mirrors. Complimentary gift basket was there upon arrival. PM if you have any questions!

How funny. I was about to come say the same thing. We did PVI, jacuzzi suite for our honeymoon too! Our room was about $225-250/night.

The money we saved over staying onsite allowed us other experiences that we wouldn't normally be able to afford (namely, Blue Bayou and Carthay Circle in the same trip, with other nice places as well).

I'll point out that we were on a fairly tight budget overall, since mortgages and car payments don't stop just because you've got a wedding and honeymoon that year ;-)

Hi! Was this Jacuzzi Suite clean and where was it located at PVI? First floor or second floor? I have stayed in a two queens room but never a Jacuzzi suite at PVI.

My first on-site stay was my honeymoon 8 years ago and my husband booked the Grand Californian as a surprise. It was lovely! Definitely not something we do every time but it made for a special memory for our honeymoon.
