When does Disney put up all of the Christmas Decor??

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me when WDW takes down all of their Halloween decor and sets up for Christmas time. Me and my DF are planning to get married in 2018 and were trying to pick a wedding date. We are both curious as to when all of the decor is out because we think it would be really nice to honeymoon during Christmas time. Thanks in advance! :flower1:

Also if anyone has any recommendations on when the best time to visit WDW, low crowds, low hotel prices, that would greatly be appreciated too! I have been doing some research and I'm getting mixed reviews on when the best months to go are.

The decor in MK goes up the day after Halloween. The decor around the resorts starts going up mid-November, along with the rest of the parks (I believe). When we were there this fall, we left on November 8, and MK was the only park fully decked out and I don't remember really seeing things around the resorts at that point.

Crowd predictions are a crap shoot at this point. There are some periods (like the week or so after thanksgiving) that tend to be less crowded compared to the average holiday season crowd, but you still might see really busy days at some parks.

If you do time it right, you might be able to catch the tail end of the food and wine festival in November and see all the holiday decor depending on how long you're staying.

Thank you so much! I have been looking everywhere and I kept getting mixed reviews. I appreciate it! :flower1:

No problem :) We did our honeymoon this fall from the end of October through the beginning of November. We got to catch the food and wine festival, Mickey's Not So scary Halloween party, and the first night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The crowds were not bad (other than the wine and dine half marathon weekend) and we got to participate in some really cool dining events because of food and wine. The weather also was not too horrendous and only rained for 10 minutes once at the parks during our 14 day stay, and that was at park closing anyway. I definitely recommend that time of year :)

That sounds amazing! I think that is a great time of year and I'm looking so forward to it now! I have actually never been to the food and wine festival and have always wanted to go. I can't wait! Thanks again! I might message you again in the future if I have any other questions :stitch2:
