Another FP with offsite question

Ive read through a bunch. I just want to be sure I understand this. We are considering to be there with our family of 6 and family that moved to Fl. If we split our group so we could stay in a room of 5. Then, some kids could spend night at cousins. How could I book that with getting fp for other child who would not be rooming with us? Can I just buy their tickets and add them to account? Then add rest of family also. Thanks

Debating whether to go before youngest turns 3. To throw off everything. I need to weigh my options. Going after 3, we need to come up with a plan.

Any guest who has tickets linked to them is capable of booking FPs.

As long as you select the complete group when booking your FPs, everyone selected shares the 60-day booking window.

I am curious how this works. We just got back in December, and although my mother in law had tickets, she could not book her fp's until her window, because she was not on our room reservation.

If she had been grouped with the selected onsite people, she would have shared the 60-day window.

Was she onsite with a package? If so, then her tickets weren't "active" until her check-in date and she had to wait until 60 days out from her package date.

How do I add them? I'm guessing when I reserved room they won't let me get more tickets than people, so I'd have to buy separate tickets. They would show as not onsite. Can I link offsite tickets? If so, how. Thanks

In your MDE account, there's a section to link your Ticket. Go to My Reservations on the app and link tickets to the correct offsite people there.

Parksavers.com and Undercover Tourist sell discounted tickets. They will give you ticket #s to link to your MDE account.

Great thanks. So, it won't be a problem if I have more people on my MDE than on my resort reservation? I wasn't sure if those were combined at check in.

Only the people on the room reservation can open the room doors with their MBs.

You can have real people and fake people in your account and the only thing that really matters is that tickets and MBs are linked to the correct names - real or fake.
