Thanks dear, you are too sweet, and I might just take you up on that, I am sure I will need to just vent a little at some point.

Love y'all too

Did you decide to stay in a hotel this weekend Brandi?

The ice missed us so we decided to stay home.

I have been busy most of the day today which has helped, got all laundry done and put away.
Got all the sheets changed and cleaned, washed all the blankets so they smell really fresh.

Made two different dinners /lunches for DH easy stuff he can eat multiply times (Chili and Beef & barley soup)

I have started to pack my bag.

And I just took a Xanax, been drinking my water. I think I am ready.

howdy ladies, :)

I made it, I think I see the light on the other side. I can at least stay awake for a couple of hours now.

Pain pills every four hours, percocet, then 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours, and a slew of other stuff, cranberry pills, senakot, gasX, and something else.
David has to write everything down, he can't keep up with it in his head, we have alarams set to take pills, it is crazy, sleep, wake up take pills, drink a lot of wate, sleep, wake up pee, take drugs, sleep, all day long.

The pain meds made me have some nausea, and it was hard to read anything on the computer or my phone,.

The surgery was more invasive than what was planned. The Dr ended up finding all kinds of bad things in there and had to spend more time getting it out.
She was not sure if I had endometriosis before the surgery and told me that there was no way for sure to diagnosis it without going in and looking.

STOP READING HERE if you don't want to know about the surgery.......

Turns out that I had a very bad case, it had encased my left ovary, my left tube, all over my uterus, around and on my bladder, and even so much that it was putting kink in my rectum. She said it was really invasive and was causing me a lot of issues, and she was surprised I was not in severe pain, told me that I must have a very high tolerance for pain. So the uterus, cervix, both tubes and my left ovary is now gone. Good bye! Surgery was at 7:30 am, I was in recovery at noon, and in my room at 2:30 pm

The Dr told David that I would spend an extra night in the hospital since the surgery was so rough, but I did come home the next day. To leave the hospital, I had to have catheter removed, urinate on my own, walk to the end of the hall and back, pass gas, and cough. I was done with all of that by 8 am, which all the nurses and my Dr were surprised. she told me that I would feel much better than I had before, and I told her I was looking forward to it.

I think that is all I can do right now, it is time for another nap now. Miss y'all. Have a great day.

I am so happy to hear from you. It is good the doctor got it all. I remember when I went threw mine. The doctor said it looked like someone had poured a bottle of tar in me. Yuck! But I felt so much better. I had staples and stitches. So you take time to heal. Don't be in a rush. Sleep, sleep , sleep. Enjoy it as there will be the day you won't and you will want to sleep like that....
I am sure David is relieved to have you home. I bet he is a wonderful support to you. We miss you as well, but more important for you to heal. So check in when you feel like it. Big hug and kisses to you!!

I was thinking about endometrosis as soon as you mentioned clots earlier.

I had infertility and a severe case of endometriosis treated by estrogen stopping drugs like Danazol and a major abdominal surgery to clean much of it out as possible. It magically allowed me to finally get pregnant years later but made it impossible to conceive a second time. Eventually it required a total hysterectomy. I cried quite a bit because they couldn't save any ovarian tissue. They found huge fibroids and cysts everywhere as well.

I too went home quickly but with a catheter (complication caused by way it was inserted; finally removed after 2 weeks) and rested for only 4 weeks before going back to work part-time for two more weeks.

Good news is I began to feel better than I ever had the last 20 or so years. No more pain when exercising and no more anemia etc.

It sounds like you had similar issues and hopefully will recover quickly. I have always found problems concentrating on what I was reading after general anesthetic so if that happens to you, it will improve!

SO glad you took the time to write and let us know what was going on! Enjoy the legal drugs!

P.S. I am on self-restricted activity today since I fell on my knees in the garage yesterday. Stupid thing but I only bruised both kneecaps, my hip, my ankle and shoulder. I can walk but steps are tough!

I bet I get better faster than you do Brandi!

Big hug Brandi!!!!!

I hear you Kathy, I to had endometeriosis. My periods were so bad. I knew I wasn't having any more kids so I told them to take it all. I never had a catheter though. After the first week I asked the dr. if I could drive and said I could. I even went back to work. But that is a whole different issue.

I am sorry you fell. I hope you are okay. Just you sit and relax and let someone wait on you a little. I know your hubby is limited but what doesnt get done , oh well. I know my house is a wreck.. UGH. Big hugs for you to Kathy!

Amazing that the three of us here on the Games board have encountered the same big health problem. I totally get the bad periods thing; had to double up on protection just to get through a couple of hours plus the pain....ugh!

I am impressed that you went back to work so early. Was it an abdominal operation or the other kind that doesn't require big open scar?

My knees feel much better tonight; maybe I'll connect the bruises with a big marker! Thanks for the kind words; just clumsy old me tripping over the lawnmower, duh! DH and DS have been very good to me too.

They wanted to do a vaginal one but I am so glad they didn't. I had it the old way from the belly button down. I had stitches and staples. I did not want the morphine, I just wanted a few tylenol and they told me no. That was the only thing that hurt. But I have the big scar. I was also given a drug called depolupron, not sure if that is the correct spelling, but only could take it for 6 months, which did not work anyway. My whole life was like that but I was sure fertile enough. I am wondering now if I got the endo from a miscarriage. I think I lost a set of twins.

But I guess we all will be laying around and just relaxing. :rotfl:

Thanks dear, David a great care taker, he takes everything very serious, I am not allowed to do anything. Then I have to remind him that I need to walk some, but not over do it. He is too cute.

Everyday, I am staying awake a little longer. the first two days we only counted hours I was awake, now we are moving into hours I am asleep. LOL

Thanks for the love, it is greatly appreciated.

So sorry you feel and hurt yourself, please take care.

The Dr told me that she thought I would feel better than I had in years, once i had a full recovery. I am looking forward to that too.

I agree, that it is amazing that we could all find each other and completely understand what the other was gong thru.

I had to do all the extra protection stuff, and I was always caught off guard somewhere also. Mine would come back with in a week something 3 the next then 4.5 then 1 so I always had to carry everything everywhere. So glad this is all changed now.

I lost one also, and never got pregnant again. hmmm makes you wonder.

And no cancer, wonderful! Now just go ahead and recover!

I'm so sorry both of you lost babies! I don't think I ever did although I had several positive pregnancy tests which proved false a week or two later. And we all had big surgeries to try to cure the problem. I always had extremely heavy periods and cramps from age 16 on; made travelling, hiking and swimming a real problem. Then when I turned 40 or so I started having irregular, heavy periods and lots more pain due to fibroids and huge ovarian cysts. I became anemic too. After my surgery I felt free even though I took estrogen until last summer.

You should feel better although they don't always get it all you should improve quickly. I think my healthiest years have been since I was 45 or so.

I did take a walk with DS yesterday; steps still hurt but I am definitely healing. I love that we can walk outside without heavy coats in January in the Springs. It's been in the 50s and 60s and gorgeous some days.

Yes, everyone rest and enjoy the day!
