Looking to buy 2nd contract at Old Key West.

Only going to buy extended and September use year.

Not in a hurry at all. Hard to find comp sales in last year or so for extended contract OKW.

Anyone help me with what fair markup is for extended versus 2042 expiration?

I have found 1 contract at 95.00 per point 110 points.

Thanks in advance, this board is invaluable!

here are a few listed on the DIS Purchasing Board:

I'm curious as to how many you have now and how many you want to add. I'd also point out that I see OKW extended as having some additional risk over other resorts. But if you want OKW extended you should be able to find it, it just may take longer. All else equal maybe $5-10 pp more than 2042 points.

I have 175 SSR. I would like to add around 75-100

What risk?

Love OKW for size of rooms and full rehabilitation coming in next year or so.

My bet is it will be as nice as new resorts inside.

DVC hasn't been known for it's upkeep and the recent rehabs have been met with mixed reviews. By the time of the transition, they should have this and two additional full rehabs and be close to a fourth.

Generally one can reserve OKW with about any points. Here's my concerns. DVD currently owns over half the resort once 2042 hits, my guess is it'll be roughly half at the transition due to retail sales of extended points along the way. At the point of the extension it was roughly 1/3 owners and 2/3 DVD from what I can gather. DVD will own those and be responsible for the dues. Will they try to ratchet down dues to the point of not keeping the resort up to save dollars? Will they try to get the resort ready for the transition and beyond at the expense of the owners including the 2042 owners? Will they close down part of the resort at that time? Will they use it for college housing? The issue is we simply don't know. Personally I think it's a risk though it's likely to work out to be a non issue. I'd suggest you consider other options and in the interim determine how likely you are to get (or not) what you want with SSR or other points. It's your money and your choice but these are my concerns and the types of reasons why.

Good points and other resorts like BLT or AKV probably less risky with similar expiration.

And lower dues. SSR is the cheapest, BLT the next cheapest long term when you consider dues. AKV may crossover at some point if BLT dues continue to go up.

Most OKW extensions seems like they are asking $15-20 a point more then regular OKW. Looking for one specific UY with that extension at a very good price may take a while.
