Anniversary trip!

So excited to finally begin planning our anniversary trip. It'll be 15 years next October and we haven't been to Disney as adults-only since our Honeymoon. I almost forget how to do Disney as an adult. We'll be staying at the Boardwalk (a first for us). We went as a family last year & will be going again as a family about 11 months after this next trip so I'm crossing a lot of stuff off my list for this adult trip... no character meets, no character dining. Not that those aren't great. But we do plenty of that with the kids. What do you like doing as an adult that you don't think you could do quite so well as a family? I'm really, really looking forward to spending my time in the World Showcase. I'd also like to do something special for our anniversary. Any ideas?

I just love not having a plan and having the ability to do whatever we want, whenever, and most importantly, never having to rush to get to the next attrraction. Going around World Showcase and buying some little thing from each country, talking to the cast members about their home country, admiring the details of the buildings and having time to read the descriptive plaques. Drinking around the world, or the monorail bar hop. Or just finding those little hidden away places at the parks and resorts. You will finally be able to notice the small little details that are everywhere.

It depends on what you are into:
sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, horse drawn tour of FWC, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
eating: Formal GF 5* Chef's Table @ V&As

Romantic dinners. Staying at the parks late!! Napping during the afternoon. Walking around the other resorts. And getting a few drinks and snacks. Purchasing Memory Maker and making the most of it!!

The musician at Ohana called up the couples, celebrating an anniversary, to dance and then interviewed us. It was amazing. Maybe get a table at Ohana at the right time. And then, afterward, walk out to the beach, at the Polynesian, and watch the Fireworks at Magic Kingdom or the Electrical Water Pageant.

San Angel is our favorite restaurant! Great mood inside.

Do a Very Merry Christmas Party! It is a must for couples. Open late, no lines in rides, worth the money.

Try and eat in the West Wing of BOG. Or the Ballroom. So cool.

Eat at Sci-Fi Diner and pretend to be kids again in the backseat of a car :D

We did it in Sept 2015 and it was great! We also stayed at the Boardwalk. You will be there during Food and Wine so make plans to do that during the week (weekends are busy). We also did drinks around the world- so fun! We did it over 2 days and really enjoyed it. We also did dinner at California Grill and if you can do that it's lovely. The food is very good and the view for the fireworks is everything people say and more. Lots of new stuff like Pandora and Star Wars. Plan on Disney Springs too. We will also be at the Boardwalk Oct 2017 and we are planning on taking Keys to the Kingdom tour. FYI if you don't have a Disney Visa think about getting one. Lots of discounts. You will have a great time:)

I did see something about a monorail dining experience too.

I agree about Memory maker - I was sorry we didn't do it. BOG is awesome. Reserve for lunch!
