We were initially looking at Sea Breeze Point, but ended up going through Just Marry for a Swan wedding instead. No regrets here! We got waaay more for our budget, got to have every Disney touch that we wanted (ie same vendors as DFTW brides, we had the same characters at our reception, we had an Epcot dessert party, formal sit down reception, etc..), but because the wedding was way cheaper in price, we got to upgrade on flowers, food, etc... It was honestly a perfect day & our guests still talk about it, 5 years later :)

Our wedding planner was Karen Gingerich, who was absolutely incredible, but I think she has since moved to an upper position within the company.

I would suggest you call them directly, if you are unable to make contact through their form. Try this number: (407) 259-2388

Hello! Has anyone had a swan and dolphin wedding but also did a resort photo shoot at a Disney resort?

Do you mean at a WDW hotel or in the parks? We had Randy Chapman (who many DFTW brides use) & we had our shoot in the Swan (my request-the lobby is gorgeous for photos) & in the Boardwalk/Beach Club area. I'm pretty sure you can book photo shoots through Disney in most of the theme parks, with the exception of MK.

The only photo shoot that Disney Fine Art Photography does inside the Magic Kingdom is the pre-opening Bridal Portrait Session. Anybody can book it (anybody with $2,125, that is!), but if you aren't having a DFTW you have to wait until 4 months out. Disney Fine Art Photography doesn't offer engagement or other photo sessions in the MK, but some local photographers will do it.

Thanks Carrie! Is it true that you can book photo sessions in the other parks if you are not a DFTW bride?

Yes! Anybody can book a theme park bridal portrait session in any Florida Disney theme park. You don't have to be a Disney bride. But Disneyland in California limits in-park bridal portrait sessions to just those who were married at Disneyland.

Hello everyone! I have been looking to plan a wishes wedding with about 50 people but then I found out about the swan and dolphin. does anyone know if you can have a reception with that amount of people at the swan and dolphin? Thanks!

I'm stuck between the two Was is cheaper then if u did a lunch wishes wedding?

Yes, way cheaper!!! & we got a ton more for our money & much more flexibility. With a Swan wedding, we were able to afford a cocktail hour over by the outside fountain with a harpist, we had a plated lunch in a Swan ballroom, Mickey & Minnie greets, a DJ, they even upgraded our cake for no additional cost (added on a snowflake theme)! They upgraded our hotel room to a beautiful suite, and also included an additional room for my DH to get ready for no additional charge. Our planner presented us with chocolates & a bottle of champagne after our wedding. We also had a cake tasting a few months before the wedding for no fee and there was no set time limit-we took our time. We had no limit on number of guests.

Swan catering is award winning & so delicious! We used all the same vendors that DFTW brides use:
Randy Chapman=photography
Mickey & Minnie was directly through Disney
Beaute Special=Hair & Make up
Rabbi Lefkowitz=Officiant
Christine MacPhail=Harpist
Chuck Johnson=DJ

Our floral was a different company than DFTW. We used Greenery Productions, & they were awesome!

We also did an Epcot Dessert Party the night before, Welcome Dinner at 1900 Park Fare, & Rehearsal Dinner at the Biergarten.

Our guests really had no idea that it was not directly through Disney. & our day was perfect :cloud9:

Hi!
My fiance and I are leaning towards a wedding at the Swan and Dolphin at the West Courtyard. I am in contact with Victoria from Just Marry, but am waiting for her to get back to me about a few things and am a bit eager for more info. Does anyone know if 20 is the max capacity allowed for guests, or are more people allowed for the ceremony? Also, are we allowed to bring our own champagne or are we required to buy from them?

We are thinking either a lunch or dinner for a reception later that day, still trying to figure it out. Any suggestions for nut-free or allergy sensitive restaurants to have it?

Thanks!

I had my cocktail hour at the West Courtyard & it is so beautiful! I'm not sure the maximum number of guests for that location. It's not a huge area, but I'll bet you could fit more than 20 guests. We had 55 guests in total & they all fit just fine for our cocktail hour.

Are you looking to just eat at a restaurant for your reception or are you looking for a catered meal at a restaurant? If a catered meal, I'm sure they will work with you to create a nut free or allergy sensitive menu. I went through Swan catering & they were wonderful to work with :)

Hi all! I am planning an Escape wedding at Yacht Club Gazebo and a separate reception after, to accommodate more people. The idea is to have an intimate ceremony and then have a big party/reception with more guests later. Since I'm choosing YCG, having a S/D reception would be ideal, but I'm having trouble swallowing the $180 pp minimums for food/bev for a buffet. That's more than Wishes! Does anyone know if the menu can be customized to cost less pp? I would like to be around $125 or so pp. Also, does the $2700 site fee apply if you're just doing a reception? Any answers you guys have would be great! Thanks!

You should be able to customize, unless they changed things since we got married in 2011. We completely customized our cocktail hour foods, our plated lunch, & our wedding cake! Swan Catering was fantastic to work with :)

Okay great! That's good to know. I've scoped out Swan catering and the menu looks pretty customizable. I'm so excited because I had originally thought I couldn't afford an S/D reception on top of already having to pay so much for Escape but now it looks like I can make it work! So happy :)

That's great! Their catering is award winning, so I'm sure you will be happy-everything we had was delicious! Our catering coordinator was Lindsay Cullen & we can't say enough nice things about her-she was just wonderful :) I'm not sure if she is still there though-we got married in 2011.

Do you mind saying the cost of your wedding? Considering a S/D wedding package but not sure what to expect for costs.
