Pancakes make me happy

Tonga Toast is the most disgusting food known to man. I'm not a picky eater and it almost me made me barf. DH and I both left ours untouched.
If it was untouched, how do you know it was disgusting?

I any event, Max won. He even picked the correct side to go with the pineapple compote.

My wife will get Tonga Toast sometimes and we will switch half way though, but I could eat two orders of the macadamia nut pancakes.

Is there anywhere on property that has real maple syrup?? I can't eat the fake stuff. It is too sugary for me.

How's Crystal Palace for breakfast? I'd never go for dinner but I'm a sucker for a good breakfast buffet.

I won't quite go as far as to call these disgusting, but I will say that they are WAY to sweet for us. A few bights and we are done.

I'd be interested in this also.

I loved it when we were there in 2013 for breakfast. I tried a little of most things. I even have to say the stuffed french toast was awesome. The breakfast lasagna was good too.

Pancakes at the Wave are pretty good too.

We loved the sweet potato pancakes at the wave, but on the buffet, you now have to wait for butter to be brought to the table. That's a deal breaker for me. I want my warm pancakes with gobs of pecan butter. Not cool pancakes with the dab of pecan butter and plain butter that was brought to the table , after it was noted was had food that needed butter. I guess if we had just taken fruit loops and fruit, we wouldn't have gotten any butter

A key thing to any good buffet is the giant tub of butter at the end near the toast. Just be careful because it next to the giant tub of cream cheese and they both look white under the sneeze guard.

That is what we did - well, she got the Tonga Toast and I got the Big Kahuna (the French Toast there is really good too) and we shared

it's excellent (we love to try and get a pre-park opening ADR for there)

plus Pooh's Puffed French Toast is amazing!

I haven't had pancakes on property. I always just want Mickey Waffles.

BUT...the french toast at the Grand Floridian Cafe...oh it is so incredibly amazing.

Brioche French Toast with Madagascar Vanilla Bean Butter and Bacon or Sausage.

Y'all. AMAZING.

(Books breakfast at GFC...)

Now that DOES sound pretty darned good! :)

Great, now I need to try GFC. I wonder if any places serve scrapple down there.

Our breakfast at Garden Grill was so good in July we made a return trip the next day. Any "cost effective" way to get into a park before it opens, especially if it's next to Soarin, is a good value. Just don't tell too many people about it.

I will need to branch out at Grand Floridian Café. Not much for French Toast, but I will definitely have to try this.

I had a dinner @ GG years ago that was really good, great character interaction, and low crowds. I've always meant to try it again, especially for breakfast. I'll def put it on my "must try" list after your recommendation! :) I also love breakfast @ Trail's End.

Me either, Aerin. I had breakfast @ GFC years ago - don't remember what I had - but not being a French Toast person, I'm thinking not, but this sounds very yumbo, just like the Macadamia Nut @ Kona, with no pineapple syrupy junk. LOL

It was a lot like Trails End, AYCTE with a great big sticky bun, plus Chip n Dale are always fun. I think it was better because it wasn't busy, they were sword fighting with rolled up menus and dropping off extra food at peoples tables.

I was hesitant to try GFC...had heard mixed reviews. But I'm a big fan now. I've been several times and really like it. I think it's better for breakfast or lunch, but dinner is ok too. It's reasonably priced and I love going there before I head over to MK!
