Marathon Weekend 2017!

This 2014 article shows eight spaces that could accommodate countries and not in a way that would "squeeze" them in or anything like that.

While we have Morocco and Kenya is pretty well represented in AK, I would like a better representation in Epcot considering what a large and diverse continent Africa is. India would be great - food, theming, etc. would be synch. South America in general needs representation at Epcot and I like the idea of doing Brazil with an Amazon theme. Greece would be great and of course would lend itself to Hercules (a highly underrated Disney film, IMO) and I like the idea of the Caribbean, too - theming would be a piece of cake.
One of those pads was taken up for the frozen meet and greet so I believe there is space for 7 now.

I picked the Caribbean because they expanded the footprint of the Dominican Republic area at F&W this year to almost three times the size in the past, and added more offerings to reflect all the islands of the Caribbean and not just the DomRepub. It's a VERY cool area and would definitely be a winning concept if they added in a water feature. It's one of the most popular areas at F&W that I've seen so far too, so people are definitely receptive to the concept, along with the food and drink. OMG. Boat Drinks at Epcot would pretty much be the best. thing. ever.

I didn't run the marathon last year. Looking at that course map, it looks like there were no water stops between mile 6 and mile 11? That's not possible right? There had been one just after the speedway on the previous course, looking at my 2014 map.

This is a mistake on the map, there were several within those miles.

Good morning, runDisney all-stars! We are just 11 weeks from the WDW Marathon. The time is flying and I hope you all are too on your runs.

Today's Sundays are for Disney question: What country or countries (up to three) would you add to Epcot?

I would add:
* Holland
* The Netherlands
* Whatever country Dutch people are from

(Seriously - Egypt, Greece, and India would be nice to see at Epcot)

Has anyone gone to Boma after the Half Marathon? Since my wife and I are also doing the marathon the next day, we'll be taking it eeeaaaassssyyyy on Saturday, and we nabbed a 10:55 reservation at Boma.

The restaurant is serving breakfast until 11am. How long will food be available at the buffet? Will be we be fist fighting to nab food before it's removed? Will we be eating the remnants of food cooked an hour earlier? Will surly cast members give us the stink eye until we leave???

And for the World Showcase:
- Russia
- India
- New Zealand, but what I really want is Hobbiton in Middle Earth

No clue, but I do like the image of hungry runners fighting off the restaurant workers ("Drop the tray of bacon, move away and no one gets hurt").

Could someone share a brief list of the good (free) race viewing/cheering locations? I am starting the process of telling my family where to be and when.
My two favorite spots to spectate the full are in HS and along the Yacht Club/Beach Club section. You'd need a park ticket to cheer inside HS, but you don't need one to cheer from just outside the entrance plaza. Friends of mine have cheered from the TTC, inside the MK, and outside the GF/Poly... they all said MK was more effort than it was worth, TTC was okay, and outside the GF/Poly was the best of the three spots. AK is also an option - assuming the course remains more or less the same, runners will go through a section of AK parking lot, so that would be a free spot to use.

I will second Boardwalk area. Family appreciates the ability to sleep in and see me at mile 24, and we all are ok with only seeing me once on the route.
