Quasi Sharing a Beverage Package

So, I am going on a RCL cruise in a few months and plan on purchasing the Premium package for myself. My DW is a very light drinker 1 glass of wine with dinner. My question is if I am enjoying a cocktail by the pool and I decide to let her try a sip, does that constitute sharing and will the they revoke my package? I can see this being a problem if I grab a water and bring it back to our pool chairs and she starts to drink out of it after I already drank some. This isn't us trying to cheat the system it is more just the way we are. So exactly how strict are they about the sharing?

I just got off Freedom of the Seas a couple weeks ago. I don't see ANY way they would be able to "catch" you doing what you describe. Once you walk away from the bar or the waiter walks away from you, there's no one who knows whether the drink you've gotten was from a package or just billed to the room.

IMO, it comes down to YOUR ethics. I personally don't see a problem with having someone try a sip (or two) of a drink to see if they like it. Where the line is when it's considered "sharing" I don't know. Technically a "sip" is "sharing", but I personally would allow it.

They can indeed revoke the package for that.

If I were planning on that I would actually rather do that in front of the bartender, telling him what you're going to do, and make sure it's being done so she can decide if she'd like that or something else. Otherwise, if she's having a sip simply to have a sip, not to see if she's going to order that or some other thing, it IS sharing. She's getting a drink from you, even if it's just a sip.

That said, DH has let DS have some of his fresh squeezed OJ in Windjammer, from DH's Replenish package.

THAT said, on our last cruise I bypassed that and just ordered, and paid for without a package, DS's OJ. Bonus; the glass you get included with Replenish/Ultimate is HUGE, and way too much for any one of us to healthily drink (while also eating real food), so by paying for a glass we had the ability to order a *small*, which was still big, but much more reasonably sized.

I decided to not worry to much about it anymore, as someone pointed out for all they know you both could have the package and you are just grabbing your DW a drink. For example, I decided to get the premium package and my wife the replenish package. Both include water, so if I go to the bar and grab a bottle of water then head back to my seat and hand it to her then it all becomes semantics. Too much red tape for me to worry about while on vacation. lol
