Monday 23rd November
Up early to pack the last of our stuff, i weighed the cases and we were way under, the advantages of having a full bag allowance for Freya but her stuff being tiny. We had some cereal then headed to Disney Springs to check in at the Virgin desk. The man who checked us in was the same man from 5 years ago. There was no one else there so we were very quickly on our way to the Magic Kingdom. Upon arriving at MK we found out where everyone was. The thanksgiving crowds had well and truly arrived. My receipt says we paid to park at the TTC at 0903. TWO HOURS later we got in MK.
By then we'd missed our first FP but while waiting to get in i'd been on MDE and moved it to later although not at a great time. We went straight to our 2nd now 1st FP which was POTC. We had to queue just to get into the queue although not too long. Our bands went blue instead of green though and the CM said we were too early but he let us in anyway. I was confused so while walking through the queue i got MDE up on my phone and realised we'd gone to the wrong ride. We were supposed to do Aladdin's carpet first then Pirates. I realised by the time we got out of pirates we wouldn't make the hours window for the carpets so set about moving that FP as well. I started playing about with both FPs i had booked to try and get better times on any ride or character meet and greet and the holy grail happened, an Anna & Elsa FP appeared, something i hadn't been able to get all holiday and the queue was always huge. I quickly snagged that and then to my joy also got Enchanted Tales with Belle something i had not been able to get. The long wait to get in to MK was forgotten as those 2 FPs were going to mean a perfect last day, the only downside was the FP was at 3pm meaning we couldn't watch the parade one last time. After POTC we went straight to get lunch. MK was packed to the rafters but we ducked and weaved and made it to CHH where we found a huge queue. It moved fairly rapidly though and soon we were tucking into chicken strips (me) and shrimp (Mike). I got fries with one and apple with the other for Freya and she shared some of my chicken and some fries too. I also got desserts as i figured the queues for ice creams would be awful too. I had chocolate cake and Mike got blueberry cobbler.
After lunch we headed to Enchanted Tales with Belle and by chance Freya had her Belle dress/t-shirt on again today. I thought it was a really cute idea. When the children all marched around behind Belle Freya started to join in but then got shy and ran back to us so when Belle passed her she took Freya's hand and had her sit next to her which was lovely.
Next we headed to the train which had reopened at the weekend after maintenance. Another long queue but it didn't seem to take too long before we were chugging out of the station. We did a complete circuit around the park then needed to decide on what was next on the agenda. In the end we didn't really do much as everything had massive queues. I got a Lefrou brew in Gastons and we sat on the fountain outside and shared it.
I popped into the shop while we were there and bought a book about the Beast and resisted buying a giant Beast teddy. We looked in a few other shops and then went to our A&E FP, we were a few minutes early but it went green and in we went. We had a short wait before we got into the room but when we did and Freya caught sight of who was there she bellowed at the top of her voice "Anna and Elsa!!!" She hadn't actually been that into Frozen before we came on holiday but got into it while we were there.
And with that it was time to leave for the airport. We got the monorail back to the car, the place was so busy people were parked on the grass. Quick drive to the airport and we were there with ages to spare, Mike always makes us leave before we need to. We dropped the car off and then the car seat, went through security and decided to grab something to eat. We got Freya a croissant and me a cup of tea in Starbucks then over to burger king for a couple of burgers and a coke. We sit on a bench near the Christmas tree to eat and Freya makes friends with a little girl called Olivia and they have fun running round the tree together.
We get changed into our UK weather appropriate clothes and then head for the gate. We board and no toddler seat yet again but this time they say they don't have one. They find it though and fit it for Freya. After take off i finish my book, just one book the whole holiday, not what i'm used to pre-Freya. Dinner is served, Freya gets grilled chicken, mac n cheese and broccoli. She eats some but mainly has her crackers, then mine then Mikes. I try her dinner and think its quite nice. Mike gets terriyaki chicken with rice and i go for beef n mash with seasonal veg. The veg is potato! I watch a bit of Jurassic World while i eat. After dinner its light out and we all try to get some sleep. Freya goes off quite quickly and sleeps most of the flight, only stirring a little before lights go on so Mike holds her till its time to land and she continues to sleep. That woke me up though so i put the rest of Jurassic World on and it pretty much ended as we touched down. Before we landed was breakfast, a strange apple pastry which i wasn't too keen on so Mike finished mine after his. Freya was still asleep so didn't eat anything. I had a yoghurt and i forget what else. After we get off the plane we grab a courtesy pushchair for Freya. The queue for security was pretty long but the cases came off quickly and before we knew it we were home from another wonderful Disney holiday.
