I'm sorry if this might be a dumb question.......but is magicband only for resort guests? What if I want a magic band for all purchases, etc at the park? Thank you!
He just turned 12 so he can't have his own account. I'm just worried that if we use his information under his moms account then we won't have access to change stuff for him or pay bills that he charges to the magic band ect. His mom and I don't exactly get along either. I'll prob just end up calling Disney about it but thank you for the reply.
If you receive them in advance. Can they be used for park admission and dinning prior to checking in at your resort?
If I'm flying in next friday @ 11pm, and taking ME to check into POP *hopefully* sometime before midnight, and I have a 1 day comp ticket waiting at Guest Services at MK the next morning (which is my birthday) , and I have a 1.4 year old MB, could guest services link my ticket and room to my band or should I skip it and just use my card for the room and paper comp ticket? AAAAAAAND, will I be able to make FP reservations with a 1 day comp ticket using MDE? TIA for any info!

Also, we are getting MBs with our on-site stay and they will come in the mail a few weeks before the trip. But what if I want a cute one that isn't just the standard pink or purple or whatever color? Like, what if I want a Marie from Aristocats one? Can I buy it in the park and then transfer everything from the old MB to the new one? I saw a website that had some MB covers that you put over your standard MB but it sounded like those are on the way out in favor of the MBs that have preprinted pictures on them. Is that true, or will I be able to find MB covers at the parks?

2. I'll admit that I haven't been to WDW since FP+ started, but I can't imagine how someone could use it in the parks without downloading the app.
I just read through your first page and saw the warning about internal batteries wearing out. Our bands are from our trip 2 years ago and I cancelled the free ones that were offered to me on this trip since we already had ours. Now I'm wondering if we are going to get our ride pics from Memory Maker. How quickly do the pics show up in your account after you ride? I'm guessing this will be the only way to tell if our batteries are still functioning. Two years ago you still had to stop at the photo stand after a ride to link your pic to your account. Are you still able to do that under the new ride pic system?

Yeah... we are flying out Saturday morning, so I think that ship has sailed. We can always replace them on site if we need to. Do they sell them at the resorts?
We are staying at BLT and I'm wondering if they would have them in the shop at the Contemporary? We should be at the resort by noon, but aren't planning on heading into MK until around 5:00pm so that would give me some time to get them replaced.
