A little help please...

I think you are exactly correct. The idea and psychology of the all inclusive is what plays on my mind. It is just a new way of thinking for us. When I seen what kind of money we could save... It became more serious. I just didn't know what was best overall...

Multiple stops (which everyone says aren't really that big of an issue) bigger beds, better pool
2 rooms, 2 baths, smaller beds
Suite, great theme..

Another vote for CBR as it's an awesome resort! I agree with the others that the buses aren't bad at all. In our experience, it didn't take more than maybe 10 minutes to get to any theme park, water park, or DTD (even with the internal stops).

Just got back from CBR and we enjoyed it for the most part. The multiple bus stops were not an issue. Especially now that they have the bus signs up that tell you when the next bus is coming. That was SUPER nice, let us know if we had time to run back to the room for a forgotten item and gave the kids something to do besides ask us when the bus would come. :D The only thing we did not like about CBR was the walk from our room to the food court area. We were just in a bad spot, about the furthest you could be. LOL But the resort was lovely and the queen beds were a great benefit for us!

Scenario 3 book third party and book at Caribbean, pay out of pocket for food
Pro we are in queen beds, nice pool, lots cheaper
Cons hate all the bus stops at the mod's, still have to "link" and pay for food daily
$4450

That one.

BUT we will have our own car, so we could drive to the parks..

Then it's a non-issue. Drive.

I find the "bus takes you to the front gates" thing to be a rather large overstatement. Is it closer than the parking lot? Yes. Is it *right there* at the front gates? No. When you *get* there it's lovely. When you're leaving aftera long long day, and (inevitably if you're with us) your bus is the second to last bus to walk to, and you have to wait through 2 buses for your resort and alllll you want to do is sit down, THAT is the time that you want to walk to the monorail or boat, get on that transportation, get to your car, and then, well, you're in your car. Ahhhh.

Plus there are 3 other parks to think about. MK is (obviously) just one.

However, if you have kids and book through Orbitz remember you'll need to book for the adults and call Orbitz later to add the children, or they will charge you the extra person fee per night for the children. that might be an issue when you must book a room with a capacity of 5.

That's the one problematic part for me.

The idea and psychology of the all inclusive is what plays on my mind.

The dining plan is hardly all inclusive, though. You have to eat in certain ways in order for it to work. Do you eat exactly like the dining plan works? If so, well OK. But if you leave desserts, if you order appetizers, if you *would* order appetizers as a meal, etc etc, if paying out of pocket, then what does that do for your calculations?

Okay, I need some advice...

Help me decide.. btw we are a family of 5.
Scenario 1: book thru Disney two value rooms, dining plan, memory maker, etc.
Pros my hubs likes the idea of all inclusive, all we have ever done, so all we know
Cons double beds, never stayed at all stars, and my choice is sports.. Not crazy about theme
$4990

Scenario 2: book thru 3rd party, and stay art of animation, pay out of pocket for food
Pros get to stay somewhere that normally would never justify spending, looks like awesome atmosphere
Cons have to try to figure out how to "link" reservation, pay out of pocket for food
$4950 based on what I figured for food out of pocket

Scenario 3 book third party and book at Caribbean, pay out of pocket for food
Pro we are in queen beds, nice pool, lots cheaper
Cons hate all the bus stops at the mod's, still have to "link" and pay for food daily
$4450

Here is the deal our family has never been to any of the above resorts..
We have been to pop century & port Orleans we enjoyed both, but we are park people, we don't normally come back to the resort, and only do one down day.. We will be there though for 8 nights.
Very nervous about booking thru sites like orbitz, Travelocity just cause I have never done that for Disney... My hubs like the thought of it all being paid for and done, and not paying out of pocket for food.. BUT I can just charge to the room, and take care of that nightly..
And I am all about saving money... So the cheaper does look appealing,
HELP!
I'd try staying at cbr and request I believe Martinique. That way it's about 4 stops on the way out and 4 stops on the way home.. It breaks it up..

Between all stars and Caribbean? Do what works out to be the cheapest.

I wouldn't pay more for a moderate because the upgrade is slight...if you get a good discount however - go for it.

Thank you, I think I just get wrapped up in all the thinking and thought process.. Plus, it's such a huge chunk of money. Last time we went was 4years ago..

The beds at AoA aren't very comfortable. We stayed there for two nights in a Nemo suite before heading to the GF. Other than that, we loved the resort. Excellent food court, nice big suite, great pools, great gift shop, and the busses won't be an issue since you'll have your own car.

I'd probably do option two or three. The ddp won't cover all of your eating needs. The gift card suggestion is a good one.

I would go with the AoA option. But then, I am not at all fond of CBR--it is just too big, and I did find the multiple bus stops to be a pain. At least now a bus only picks up half of the resort instead of all 7 stops. AoA will give you multiple sleeping spaces, with one being a bedroom with a door and a queen sized bed. You would also get 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. I would much rather have the 2 bathrooms and separate sleeping areas than 1 bathroom and 1 sleeping area. I think AoA is the best choice for your family.
