Who should I call? Would love some recommendations.
Planning a trip for this fall.

Magical Moments Vacations- Christy Brown is my TA and she has been amazing! I'm a first timer and decided to use a TA just so she can monitor discounts for me lol.

Half the fun of a trip for me is planning it, I have used a travel agent a few times for trips despite having been there many, many times.............not a good experience for me and one I won't repeat for sure!

WE have been using Small World Vacations- Renee has stayed on top of any discounts that come across that we qualify for and has been quick to get them for us. Also, we are doing a land/sea vacation, so with the cruise part, I felt more comfortable using a TA to help us get a decent room, etc, plus we get the $100 OBC.

You can still do all your own planning, if you wish, by using a travel agent. Use an agency that specialize in Disney, not just a generic one like AAA. They can help you with fastpasses, dining plan, itinerary building... or none of that. Most helpful is that agents work to apply discounts for you.

Welcome. I have never used a travel agent. I like to be in control of my own plans. Hopefully you will get some recommendations from those who use them.
I use both a virutsio and a disney specialist. I am surprised and shocked that not many people uses dreams. BTW you have total control when use either. I must say because I am still working out if I am going to Disney or not. But when I emailed them for a quote they (Dreams) where really good and do not charge fees. And no silliness either . They were really easy and friendly. I was thinking of booking via virutsio because doing more than just Disney but might use Dreams to do Disney World. Also get the Unofficial Guide very good one too.

We have used a travel planner and done it on our own. I honestly would love to be a Disney Travel Planner at some point, I love researching trips, parks, and things to do...

To those who plan the WDW trip, how difficult/easy is it to apply discount codes on an exiting reservation? So far that's my major hesitation, that I won't be able to get the best rate possible for my family.

Our last trip to WDW was 14 years ago, on our honeymoon. We used Dreams Unlimited to plan it. The experience was positive. The agent found us a deal to upgrade to Polynesian from Port Orleans....

I don't know if I should use DU again after 14 years since planning the trip is fun to do....

Even before becoming a DVC member I always booked everything for WDW myself. For our latest cruise though my partner and I used The Magic For Less. The main reason for using a TA was to take advantage of the onboard credit they offer, and we didn't want to risk waiting an extra 5 months until we were on board to attempt to book in case it was sold out (one of the upcoming NYC cruises). It was a lovely added bonus that our agent is totally awesome!
