Disney Gift Card Deals

I am still waiting, but I ordered 3 items to make my $75 total and so far it looks like they will be in 3 separate shipments, and I don't think I will get the 20% off coupon until ALL items ship. So far only 2 of mine have.
I think target is having issues with their system rather than it being because your 3rd item hasn't shipped. I place an order late Friday night and one of the items I ordered had not shipped when I got the coupon emailed to me Sat morning (I had selected store pick up option for the other items)
Unfortunately my problem currently is that target emailed me my Starbucks gift card yesterday afternoon that I bought online but I have yet to receive the promotional target one-bet it will be fun getting through to them on the phone to resolve.

I tried to buy a few things on Target.com last night for a gift basket for the school raffle, but eventually gave up after I couldn't get anything into my cart and just bought it all on Amazon instead. The class is pitching in for it so its not all my money anyway. I'm sure Target lost a lot of sales yesterday because of all the site issues. Unless you were buying a big ticket item, 15% off isn't really worth the hassle.

Where did you find that fine print? It wasn't in there originally.

You are right, supersnoop. I went back and looked and in the original ad, there is nothing about gift cards not counting towards the total...mentions prescriptions, optical, shipping, tax...but nothing about gift cards. I did read it online but it was on slickdeals somewhere and not in the original ad. I'll be calling Target today.

I called Target about the 20% coupons I have not received. According to the CSR, they will be sending the coupons out still through the 3rd (system is just too busy to handle all they need it to). If I do not receive one, call for an online order or go to the CS desk with proof of BF online order in the store and they will either give me a coupon or ring my order up at 20% off.

I'm confused. I bought $75 of Target gift cards on BF (using Target gift cards) and got the coupon.
I bought a $100 Disney gift card and used a $30 target gift cards pay for part of it. I got my coupon bright and early on Saturday. I didn't buy anything else in that order.

My coupon states gift cards can not be purchased USING 20% off. When I walked into target and asked a csr about ALL of the details and exclusions, she told me every $75 purchase is eligible to receive a coupon and proceeded to show me a coupon and let me read the exclusions. I then ordered my card online to get the red card discount. All of you who didn't get your coupon should call Target.

If I had been told that I would have not insisted or thrown a fit. I would have tried another store, LOL. I just picked up 8 more cards tonight at a different store by simply asking the same thing and pointing out the ad.

I called several Targets and found one with $25 Disney Gift Cards. I just went over lunch and had to go through an explanation process with the manager about the deal since they only had the Cyber week Ad in their window and not the ad with the deal. Eventually someone over the walkie talkie found it online and said it was up to his discretion to limit me. I bought 5 pairs of $25 Disney Gifts with my RedCard and received a $5 Target Gift Card with each pair.

Side Note: The register charged me $47.75 instead of $47.50 because the manager just charged me for a $5 Target Gift Card and reduced the amount of the bill by $5 which actually made the computer think I was only paying $45 for Disney Gift Cards. 5% of $45 is $2.25 off. I didn't bark about the 5x$.25 though.

I then used the 5 Target Gift Cards to buy a $25 Disney Gift Card. Overall, I spent $238.75 for $275 in Disney Gift Cards (13.2% savings). Had he charged me right, it would have been $237.50 for $275, or 13.6% savings.

Thanks robinb for your encouragement. Overall I'd say on a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, it was a 4. Not easy enough to tell my Mom (who gets nervous easily) or my non-Disney-crazy friends to do it. But the payoff is nice.

Didn't I read a few pages back that this same deal is valid next week for Target and will include Disney gift cards? I am still debating whether I even want to partake in this deal, or keep buying Target and eBay. I only started that a month ago or so, and I am earning more doing that at this point. And my trip isn't until May so I don't need to convert to Disney quite yet. It's hard to pass up the deal though :crazy2: If it is a valid deal for next week, I'll probably not be able to stop myself from going in a picking up a few 'pairs'. Anyone know if it will be online?

I'd do both. 13% off is a nice hedge of your Disney Gift Card bet. Plus, each time you do this you are only getting $275 worth of Disney Gift Cards. So it'd take a while to buy enough for your whole trip.

Back in May, Raise.com has Target Gift Cards for 8% off, so I hedged and bought some then to combine with my RedCard discount. That's how I paid for the MVMCP on 12/15.

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you!

I have found the $25 Disney cards in 2 places in the store: (1) In the main display at the front of the store (NOT the displays in the checkout lanes, those are all $50's and $100's) and (2) back in the display in electronics. I'm going back to last night's store to buy 8 more (finger's crossed). We use the Disney cards to pay for our DVC dues too. It will be a big PITB to enter all those $25 cards though :headache:.

I downloaded the gyft app and have started inputting my Disney Gift Cards into that. In the parks now, I've heard they accept the gyft app digital gift card barcode, amongst other apps. It's not necessary, but allows me to keep my gift card stack back in my luggage, or heaven for bid, if the luggage is lost, my gift cards aren't.

You can now transfer balances at DisneyGiftCard.com so you can combine all the $25's into one. DVC has recommended this because we used to have to email a list of cards and Member Services is understandably annoyed with it. I'll look into the Gyft app too! We usually just use our MBs and then pay with our gift cards at the end of the stay the night before we check out.

The deal next week is get a $5 Target gift card when you purchase two $50 Disney gift cards so it's not as good.

Thanks robinb. I'll do that combining thing.

I went in the only target near me (still 30 minute drive) today. I didn't remember ever seeing $25 Disney gift cards, but hasn't really looked for them either. Sure enough they only had $50 gift cards. I did buy 2 $25 Applebee's gift cards and they were included in the offer. Next week I will try for some of the $50 even though it's not as good of a deal, still every bit helps! Also, many of the gift cards were wiped out. I think they had a busy week! Hope the get some more in! Another thing, last week I went in my best buy and for the first time ever I found Disney gift cards in the store. They only had the $25 ones, but I bought 8 because I had an offer on my Amex card for $20 off a $200 purchase. I checked today because I had some best buy rewards to use and they didn't have any Disney gift cards. I hope they get more in!

If I am following this correctly by buying the two $25 Disney cards and then receiving the $5 Target gift card which can be used to purchase 2 additional gift cards with you use Target Red card on line you figure you are ultimately saving at least 7 1/2% correct? Since you trip is in May I would think that the Target gift card will increase in saving on Raise after the holidays. I was in a hurry to get mine so I could use it to add the DDP to our trip. If you purchase before the first of the year you can save some money on it. I did finally get what I needed order when the save 10 on $100 come out on Raise so I will be set for what I needed them for. Now I will be patiently waiting for the savings to increase on Raise so I can get a few Disney Gift cards for souvenirs.

Just wanted to say thanks because I'm actually one of those anxious people who like slick deals, but wouldn't want to cause trouble to workers and other customers waiting in line. But with your detail experience, I found courage and went ahead to try. I kept telling myself it wouldn't be a big deal if one Target said no, because there are literally 6 Targets between home and work for me.

I just got back and am estatic about it. Been doing Raise/Cardpool/eBay/SB/PTV to accumulate Target GCs for our first couple WDW trip, hopefully January 2017. So we had a long time before we cycle to Disney GCs, but with this potential 2x$25.00 Disney GC with a $5.00 Target GC, I couldn't resist in converting to Disney GC because even without the Redcard, it was a straight 10% conversion from Target to Disney GC, versus the traditional 5% Redcard.

I went to the first Target and made sure they had the correct AD posted on the front. Found $600.00 worth of DGC in $25.00 increments and went to the cashier. I guess I found a manager by accident when I went up to the person who was managing the self pay machine for help.

Explained to her that I need help on a weird transaction. Explained I bought a bunch of $25.00 Disney GC at the Target near my work and they had to manually help me process the promo. She found the AD on page 20 and tried to ring it up on the system. Of course the system didn't work. I continued my fictional story that the Target near worked helped me buyout their stock of GC. Explained it was a great deal and that the Target near my work recommended me to try another Target to get enough for my Disneyland trip. She was more than happy to manually honor it through "coupons" to get me the $5.00 Target GC for each pair.

She also asked if I wanted to use my Redcard for an additional 5% discount. She mentioned she does it all the time before a Disneyland trip. We joked that Disneyland is getting more expensive each year and said she was a huge helped. I used my mobile combined Target GC to pay it off and I was on my way.

Depending on who you get to help you, and how friendly you are, I think this was an easy request!

Too long; didn't read summary: Found a Target Member who sympathized with me and was willing to help me out.
