Has anyone done a zip line excursion in Cozumel? I know Disney doesn't offer one but I know you can do one on your own. Was just wondering how far away it is from the port, and if it's worth it. I know there is one at a place called Eco Park or something like that which is suppose to be not too far of a taxi ride away. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

When I looked at Cozumel Excursions last night for our cruise next week. They do offer the Xplor Park which includes 13 zip lines, driving 2 person amphibious vehicles, swim/raft through a cave system, etc. It is on the main land, not on the island, so it is an all day adventure due to the time it takes to get to and back from the mainland. It was a bit pricy at $218 for age 10 and up. Here is the details from the Port Adventures site...

Ride amphibious vehicles through jungle trails, careen through the sky on ziplines and float down underground rivers.

On this adventure you will...

  • Embark on a 45-minute ferry ride to Playa del Carmen on the Mexican mainland.
  • Walk approximately 15 minutes to your air-conditioned coach before taking an approximately 20-minute drive to the Xplor Park.
  • En route to the park, your guide will provide commentary about the Yucatan peninsula and what you should expect to see and do at Xplor Park.
  • Dare to ride the 13 ziplines high above the Caribbean's lively natural environment, enjoy splashy water landings and amazing suspension bridges. Note: Guests must weigh between 88 and 300 lbs to participate on the ziplines.
  • Take a trip through the jungle while driving amphibious vehicles. Note: Guests must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license in order to drive the 2-seat vehicles.
  • Explore an underground paradise where you can swim surrounded by amazing stalactites and stalagmites. Float down a raft route through stunning subterranean caverns while paddling with your hands.
  • Complete your experience with a nutritious and light buffet, complete with fruit beverages, hot chocolate and coffee that will recharge you.
  • Board the transportation for the ride back to Playa del Carmen, where you'll board the ferry back to Cozumel and the ship.
Hope this helps...
